AIBU to be really really proud of... myself..!!

18 months ago I was a fat, dumpy 47 year old going into her first ever adult swimming lesson, unable to swim a stroke.

Today i’m Still a fat dumpy 48 year old who swum 100 25 metre lengths this afternoon in the Swimathon, raising around £400 in sponsorship money.

Tonight when my husband and children take me out for dinner, for once i’ll Feel I actually deserve my wine.

Well done you. You could so easily have not done it, because it must have felt so difficult at 47 to learn how to swim. Enjoy your achievement, congratulations!

Thank you so much....! My mum, DH, 9 year old DD and my swimming teacher are super proud of me.

My 12 year old and my 15 year old didn’t notice I had left the house.

@HollowTalk @ it’s just a wee manual length counter I got on amazon for about £8 - just press the button at every turn. I love it
