Can we find a new word, everyone is fuming about something, it's really starting to piss me off. Or make me mildly annoyed. Or make me anything but bloody fuming.

I've notice everyone is furious.

Then I read the reason and think why/how can you be furious over that!

Smileymoon · 28/03/2019 20:53

It is tiresome. All these people raging about little things.

TinyBarista · 28/03/2019 20:53

I like it when people are fumming. I think that means they're really angry.

Wolfiefan · 28/03/2019 20:54

Could be worse. You always get the odd one that is “fumming” Grin

Preggosaurus9 · 28/03/2019 20:54

YABU OP. They're fumming!

Smileymoon · 28/03/2019 20:56

Ignore my comment. I thought you were talking about how angry people seem to be these days, not how you disapproved of the word 'fuming'.

Heaviestdirtyestsoul · 28/03/2019 20:58

I'm fumming you would even say that. Now shush whilst I sell my Chester draws on facebook and craft my stick and glitter teacher gifts!

Heaviestdirtyestsoul · 28/03/2019 20:59

I'm fumming you would even say that! Now shush whilst I sell my Chester draws on facebook and craft my stick and glitter teacher gifts- 7 quid each!

Heaviestdirtyestsoul · 28/03/2019 20:59

Huh...

arethereanyleftatall · 28/03/2019 21:04

Just be grateful you're not type of person who does fume over pointless stuff. It can't be a particularly happy life. I'm glad to say that In my 40 odd years I've never been fuming about anything. Nor raging. Neither have I hated anyone.

arethereanyleftatall · 28/03/2019 21:05

Whoops, I also misread. Sorry.

WonderTweek · 28/03/2019 21:06

I'm personally a fan of livid. Grin

PookieDo · 28/03/2019 21:08

I’m fumming today about a petty irritation but I am allowing myself one fume a day to try to wean myself off

PookieDo · 28/03/2019 21:08

*obviously fuming as fumming was sarcastic I can spell

Hihohihoitsofftoworkwego · 28/03/2019 21:09

‘gives me the rage’, ergh

HennyPennyHorror · 28/03/2019 21:10

I can't stand all the people who're "Going to go nuclear on him" or "Going to rip him a new one"

The first is just stupid and the second is disgusting.

TheDarkPassenger · 28/03/2019 21:10

We say fuming as in like ‘I’m joking about being mildly annoyed about this’

Like eg.

The wind today ffs, fuming.

I’m not actually fuming, although when I had super long hair it would get trapped in the car door when windy then I’d be slightly slightly fuming

HennyPennyHorror · 28/03/2019 21:11

Oh and MORTIFIED!

"I'm mortified because DD said (insert innocuous and boring thing)"

TheDarkPassenger · 28/03/2019 21:12

I also say ‘like’ a lot, evidentially.

You probably should come to my hometown 😂

Lana1234 · 28/03/2019 21:12

What about us scousers tho? We’re fewmin 🤣

TheDarkPassenger · 28/03/2019 21:13

Shouldn't*

Ffs, fuming

MaudeLynne · 28/03/2019 21:13

I don't find furious as bad, and fucking furious sounds quite good really. Not quite sure where I stand on boiling my piss, but certainly not giving me the rage.

OP posts:
TheDarkPassenger · 28/03/2019 21:15

What about boiling?

Not keen on that one myself. Sometimes I just say I’m quite mad about it

mrswarthog · 28/03/2019 21:17

Lana1234 you beat me to it Grin We're very special in Liverpool, we're fewmin! Or if it's really bad Fewwmming.

AriadnePersephoneCloud · 28/03/2019 21:20

Argh fuming and raging really boil my... Nope I don't like that one either. Why are people never miffed or irked any more. Those should be aspirational for the fuming people. The fumming people are amazing though, they sound both fun and like they're hitching lifts all over the place 😁
