Does this make me a bad friend

So I had plans on Thursday night for an exercise class with a friend that I asked her to do and I reminded her about it and she had forgotten and said it's up to me to decide if we go then I got back to her and said do you want to leave it, I'm up for going if you are and she had plans to pick up her grandad instead

I'm going out on Saturday night with another friend

Does that make me a bad friend? Would you be annoyed if you were the other friend?

Of course no ot, why? She is busy doing other things. Doesn't sound like she's that bothered about the class.

StealthPolarBear · 22/03/2019 16:36

Actually it's not even the same night? I don't understand what your plans for Saturday have to do with your plans yesterday

Poppyputthekettleon · 22/03/2019 16:36

You mean you friend decided not to come to an exercise call that you invited her to on Thursday? And now tomorrow night you are going out with a different friend and you are worried the Thursday night friend will be upset? If so is she super possessive and you are only allowed to go out with her? I'm just failing to see the connection.

colourfulness · 22/03/2019 16:46

Because I didn't say until on the day of the plans when we had to book it (it never sells out) so she the agreed to pick her grandad up instead

But I'm doing plans with a different friend instead?

Or have I over thought this?

It's almost like I cancelled plans but can do them on Saturday?

OP posts:
StealthPolarBear · 22/03/2019 16:48

You didn't cancel! Which day is she picking up her grandad

Anoisagusaris · 22/03/2019 16:49

You aren't making sense.

If anything, you could be annoyed with your friend if you had made plans and then she forgot.

But what does any of that have to do with you going out on Saturday night??

StealthPolarBear · 22/03/2019 16:49

Presumably the exercise class wont be on on Saturday

TinselAndKnickers · 22/03/2019 16:53

The two are unrelated - she is the one who forgot your plans. There is no issue OP!

colourfulness · 22/03/2019 16:53

So we spoke on the Wednesday night and I reminded her about it she replied I'll let you decide and we kept talking

Then the Thursday I said we can leave it if you want but I'm up for going if you are
Then she replied she had said yes to picking her grandad up
Which I hadn't said so she arranged that

Then I'm able to see my other friend instead

OP posts:
StealthPolarBear · 22/03/2019 16:56

You were seeing her on thursday
She cancelled
You're seeing another friend tomorrow

Which bit am I getting wrong

TinselAndKnickers · 22/03/2019 17:00

You're not Stealth Grin

Anoisagusaris · 22/03/2019 17:02

Still not making any sense.

It sounds as if the class was on Thursday. Or is it on Saturday?

IvanaPee · 22/03/2019 17:03

What?? You’re seeing a different friend on a different day...?

MillicentMartha · 22/03/2019 17:07

Is the class on a Saturday? Confused

DownToTheSeaAgain · 22/03/2019 17:07

YABU to post this complete non issue

Greywalls12 · 22/03/2019 17:08

Ehh??

MargotLovedTom1 · 22/03/2019 17:10

You have definitely over thought it! Why would exercise friend give a flying fart what you're doing on Saturday? She wasn't even bothered about meeting you on Thursday for the class!

yearinyearout · 22/03/2019 17:12

I'm struggling to see how the two things are related.

twobambinos · 22/03/2019 17:13

Yabu for making no sense and also for saying you were up for going but do you want to leave it.

Bambamber · 22/03/2019 17:15

You are way overthinking things. You made plans, other friend forgot about said plans and wasnt really bothered about them anyway. So that friend made other plans and you made other plans. Everyone is happy

lisamac28 · 22/03/2019 17:21

If Thursday friend is annoyed by you going out with Saturday friend, tell her to grow up. This is a non-issue.

FriarTuck · 22/03/2019 17:21

You aren't making sense.
This Grin I really don't get why Saturday is relevant.

EffOffStomachPain · 22/03/2019 17:33

I’m so confused.

HalfBearOtherHalfCat · 22/03/2019 17:34

Has the OP been drinking or have I? Confused
