Man weeing against wall. Am I wrong for having a go ?

So first time in aibu. Out this evening, meal with family, waiting in taxi rank to go home, 2 men who I had previously seen in a pub causing problems. One man is stood weeing against the wall of a bank. I am no prude but that is disgusting. They were then really rude to me and insulting. Am I right for having a go? my husband basically told me to shut up in the taxi and I should let it go?? I don't agree...

If they were spoiling for a fight, its your husband they would have had a go at. He might be reacting to that.

PlainSpeakingStraightTalking · 17/03/2019 00:18

There's a time and a place for confrontation - a bloke pissing up a wall having previously been causing trouble in a pub, I'm not sure I'd have got involved … if he and his mate had rounded on you, your DH would have been honour bound to step in and get a good kicking instead of you .

I always look at it "what will I achieve from this" - and at no point are you going to get a bloke to stop pissing up a wall, put his tackle way and say sorry.

There are plenty of areas with open toilets now - it stops drugs and cottaging.

hellenbackagen · 17/03/2019 00:18

I'm a cop and I LOVE finding blokes doing this I go to town in their arse without actually fining them.

Disgusting behaviour. Fuck off to the loo you disgusting creature. Could result in an £80 fine if I was a complete bitch.

Aquamarine1029 · 17/03/2019 00:18

Why would you want to have a go with an unreasonable, drunk arsehole? That's a good way to be assaulted. Nothing you can say would make them realise the errors of their ways. Don't be daft. Just get as far away as possible.

user1474894224 · 17/03/2019 00:19

I thought it said 'weeping against a wall' - sorry lying in bed with no glasses. I wondered who would be heartless enough to have a go at a sad person. 😂 Weeing in public is unnecessary....But drunk/high people are not reasonable. Your bf might have been concerned what they would do to you.

PlainSpeakingStraightTalking · 17/03/2019 00:20

I go to town in their arse

^^ what does that actually mean ? Coz it sounds like you sexually assault them.

OddCat · 17/03/2019 00:22

You're within your rights to find it disgusting but you need to be careful about confronting drunken idiots- I'm not surprised your DH told you to keep quiet, it could have turned nasty.

PuzzlingPuzzle · 17/03/2019 00:23

It is disgusting, you’re completely right about that but given they were previously causing trouble in the pub what exactly did you think they were going to do? Apologise?! Hmm And I agree with PP that if they were spoiling for a fight it probably would have been with your husband. So I think you were definitely being unreasonable to confront them and your husband is right that you should let it go. And you should be very relieved that all they did was insult you as this could have ended so much worse.

hellenbackagen · 17/03/2019 00:23

Ffs I am a police officer. It means I fine them £80 .

Jesus. Fucking h Christ

Happyspud · 17/03/2019 00:25

Hellen, I think she knew that😂

PlainSpeakingStraightTalking · 17/03/2019 00:25

It still makes no sense what so ever.

"cop" - too many American movies

hellenbackagen · 17/03/2019 00:27

Yeah I assault them and get arrested and sacked 😳 not. I tell them they are out of order and tell them where the loo is! Which isn't against a wall in full view of the general public.

If they are arses I can fine them &80 with a fixed penalty notice for disorder. Which I've never done.

Rickytickytembo · 17/03/2019 00:27

'Go to town ON their arse' surely. Agree that go to town in their arse made me giggle Grin

WeBuiltThisBuffetOnSausageRoll · 17/03/2019 00:28

When you say "Am I wrong for having a go ?"....

If you mean berating them for it, then YANBU.

If you mean giving it a try yourself, YAB rather U.

Insomnibrat · 17/03/2019 00:28

How was the meal? What did you have?

hellenbackagen · 17/03/2019 00:29

I give up. I shall In future let men piss anywhere they see fit.

NorthernBullet · 17/03/2019 00:33

hellen, I don't think you're getting PP we're just having a laugh over your autocorrect error, I don't think anyone was actually having a go.

nocoolnamesleft · 17/03/2019 00:34

I remember, when my cousin was a police special in a student town, he'd make them clean up the mess to avoid the fine.

twittoo · 17/03/2019 00:35

Yep I know this, I need to try and learn to keep my mouth shut on stuff like that.Am sure it is illegal but yes I have no idea what they would do, knife, gun etc. Still doesn't make it right, hate to see it, dirty twat!! I was only looking for a few answers so thank you for all those who replied, much appreciated

Oh well sorry for typos.

Tho I didn't see the humour in previous posts. My bad.

MrsSchadenfreude · 17/03/2019 00:40

If there were more public toilets available, this wouldn’t happen. Our local public loo closed years ago and those who need a pee are directed, by a notice, to a loo that is a good two miles away (this is in central London). All of the pubs and restaurants in the area say that toilets are for customers only. Maybe we should go the way of Paris, which has lots of free, self cleaning public loos.

twittoo · 17/03/2019 00:44

Hellen@ you are so right, you the police do an amazing job. Why as a society should we accept anything is right when clearly wrong !

Genuine question: Is it the possible exposure of genitals, the human indignity or the actual wee being left that bothers you most?

If they had been being discreet in a side alley and completely shielding their penises with their hands, would that have made a difference?

If it's the presence of the actual wee, is it any different from when a dog does it? Dog owners are rightly criticised/fined when they don't clean up their pet's poo, but nobody ever seems to care if it just stops to have a wee and then walks on.

BettyDuMonde · 17/03/2019 00:56

I’m not the OP but the thought of outside-wee-ers I washed hands is the bit that bothers me most.

Also, men aren’t animals. There are actual designated places for men to wee, unlike dogs/foxes/squirrels (none of whom hold their penis in their hands/paws/claws and then touch door handles etc).

Sashkin · 17/03/2019 00:57

Hellen, go ahead and fine them! We find people pissing in our doorway on a semi-regular basis and it is gross! (There’s a betting shop round the corner, they stand outside it getting pissed on Special Brew then walk round into our road to pee, so this is the middle of the day when I am bringing my DS home from nursery).

I always shout at them and tell them how revolting they are, but I might rethink that if it was the night time and I wasn’t outside my own front door. I think the likelihood of them punching a mum and her toddler at 4pm is relatively low.
