Can't decide. Looks like a bra but passes for a crop top as it is en vogue.

Thomas Cook have since apologized to the girl saying they could have handled things better.
Woukd you be offended?

All this pearl-clutching is laughable.

"She had trousers and a top on. "

In your opinion!

I think that she had trousers & a bra on.

Still, she's getting attention-so job done!

I think its fine she doesn't really have large breasts so there is nothing spilling out, if she had low cut pants then id be a bit like 😬😬😬

Pearl clutchers here showing their age. This is completely normal attire, sold in all major shops in the CLOTHES section.

It's a bra. A woman who appears articulate and intelligent is fully capable of comprehending the reason for an airline (or any other business) trying to keep some sort of appropriate clothing policy in place. You either accept that businesses dress policy or don't use them.

She is basically a spoilt little madam looking for attention and has made herself look ridiculous (especially when she says Philip Scholfield should be allowed to wear speedos on the flight if he wants to!)

To me it looks like it's not a bra but not a proper top either. A little bit underwearish, but so what? She looks/looked fine.

The airline treated her like shit though, and have quite rightly said sorry to her.

She is a very sassy, outspoken young woman who refused to take any shit. Good for her. I would have cried at that age, if it had been me. More young women should be like her; not taking shitty behaviour lying down, and standing up for themselves.

Weirdly, a man on the plane, who was 12 or so rows back, had a pair of shorts on and a sleeveless vest. Nothing was said to him though. Hmmmmmm... 🤔

Misogyny at its finest! Hmm

And where was her male escort??

I'm an old fucker (mid 50's) and I thought she looked fine. A lovely pretty young woman with a lovely figure. Smile

I think being a stuffy pearl clutcher isn't always age related. 😝

It's a bra.

She's a trainee accountant. I can imagine my own accountant, who recruits trainees and helps get them through their exams, looking at her performance on the sofa and deciding to steer well clear.

It's a bra and planes are cold - does no-one else always end up curled up under a coat?

Also, does anyone know what Holly is wearing? Her dress is lovely.

". A lovely pretty young woman with a lovely figure. smile"

So are you saying that it wouldn't be OK if it was someone overweight in the same outfit?

Looks like a bra more than a top.
She's covered her breasts and looks ok, however, if there's a dress rule/code I suppose it has to be followed.

I don't see the problem with her outfit. Her boobs and legs are covered. It's a new trend to wear a bralette or crop top and pants. Personally I wouldn't wear that on a plane as it gets cold.

I don't understand the fuss. It's a bralet, and I don't believe it was so hot on the plane thst she wasn't cold. I couldn't' care less what she wore.

I know a student who goes out in see through tops with just sticking plaster over her nipples. Now, I would call that attention seeking.

It's not misogyny. If a bloke had tried to board in budgie smugglers he would also have been told to cover up. I have heard of men wearing 'wife beater' vests to be told to cover up. And yes that's a dreadful name but for the sake of helping people understand what item of clothing I am talking about, I have used the slang.

We don't know why the guy was wearing, if he (and she) were wearing just above the knee shorts and a vest top covering most of their torso, it would have been fine for both of them.

If the man was wearing a top with a band of barely 2-3" of material around their back/sides with the rest bare they would also have been asked to cover up.

There is nothing misogynist about it.

As you have illustrated @TapasForTwo the outfit was fine.

Funny how they didn't have a go at the man on the plane who was dressed in a similar fashion - and actually showing off MORE flesh

It's a crop top,but I wouldn't wear it anywhere but on the beach, around a pool or in my own garden.

Report

It WAS misogynistic behaviour and the airline have admitted it and said sorry to her.

I never notice what other folk are wearing on planes, only if they smell or are so bladdered I worry about them puking on me.

People are missing the point, how on earth can she say she was wearing it because she felt hot on 2 March in Birmingham???

I think it's a bra btw.

It’s a top, I’ve seen lots of young girls wearing them on nights out. Wouldn’t bother me in the slightest, if you have the body for it, go for it, or even if you don’t have the body for it actually. I’ve seen more flesh on show in a vest top!
