I can feel the mood among Remainers, both IRL and online changing.

In my view, it's a game that needs to be payed Mama. I had my chance to role the dice and I grabbed it. As I said earlier, I really don't mind there being another referendum. I will have the same impact on the result as I had in the last one. However, I would please ask all Remainers, if we do have another Referendum, and the result is different please put the effor you have put into the second votte into petitioning the government to launch a consultation into why people voted leave and for a response to those reasons. Do that for children who are growing up in the difficult circumstances that my boys did. Believe me, these kids don't have the chance to care about barriers to travel or university exchanges or working as nannies in Europe. They are worried about access to elementary education, a safe affordable place to live and 3 square meals a day.

RaspberryBubblegum · 12/03/2019 21:37

I'm angry that vote leave broke the law and won and apparently that's fine. So democratic.

buttermilkwaffles · 12/03/2019 21:37

*I didn’t vote. I’ve never voted. I’m not trying to be ignorant. I don’t think about it because it doesn’t affect me personally and I’m not sure it ever will.

I understand there will be a huge impact for businesses. But a selfish as it is for me to say, it doesn’t effect me so doesn’t require me to spend time worrying about it.*

But it does, you and everyone else! Can you not see the connection? A weaker economy means more job losses, lower profits, less people and corporations paying tax which means less revenue for the government. That means less money to spend on the NHS, on schools, etc, etc.

So of course it affects you and everyone else!

CloserIAm2Fine · 12/03/2019 21:37

I’m furious that the government have rejected the only deal.

And I suspect they will reject No Deal and also reject delaying brexit. So we can’t have the deal, we can’t have no deal, and we also can’t delay the whole sorry mess. So there’s no options left!

They will reject all options because they’re toddlers throwing their toys out of the pram. They’re against everything without coming up with any better options that are remotely viable. There’s not enough consensus to agree anything. Enough people are against anything to vote it down but can’t agree what they’re actually in favour of.

They will keep pushing for a mythical “better deal” as the country falls off a cliff. All of them, of all political persuasions. They’re betraying the country for a selfish childish temper tantrum

Justheretogiveaviewfrommyworld · 12/03/2019 21:37

Pumper, let's agree to disagree. There's no need to call me a dick either, we can disagree, but that's uncalled for and shows you up.

areyoubeingserviced · 12/03/2019 21:37

Anyone who believes that Brexit will not affect them is naive
If you have a job, your employment rights will be diminished as a result of us leaving the EU. Many of the employment rights that we all take for granted are due mostly to the fact that the EU has introduced stringent legislation which protects the rights of the employees,
This is only one example of how Brexit will affect us

ballsdeep · 12/03/2019 21:38

Surely to god we aren't leaving?? I just can't see it happening

Pumperthepumper · 12/03/2019 21:41

Agree to disagree on what? Brexit or the absolute fact that you misunderstood Mamas post?

Supersimpkin · 12/03/2019 21:44

Many shameful racists wanted to Remain, mostly because it is possible to be both racist and like getting EU grants.

But I more than agree that Leavers were automatically branded racist, and that knee-jerk twattery was damaging and counterproductive.

Mind you, doesn't hold a candle to the lies the Remainers told.

Like everyone else, I'm no longer worried about losing money, I just want to know how much the bill will be.

Justheretogiveaviewfrommyworld · 12/03/2019 21:45

Just drop it Pumper, I voted leave I know you want to kick me but you look petty now. Unfinished, that's right I'm just too fucking idle to better myself.... [hmmm] and you wonder why people like me feel like we are living in different solar systems to people like you have you really so litttle insight into the intergenerational effects of poverty?

buttermilkwaffles · 12/03/2019 21:45

it doesn’t affect me personally not to mention the fall in the value of the pound means higher prices for imported goods - food in the supermarket, wine, electrical goods, cars..., holidays abroad also cost more, etc.

For it not to affect you personally you would have to never buy anything made abroad, never go on holiday abroad, never use the NHS or schools, etc.

81Byerley · 12/03/2019 21:48

I'm angry.

Nat6999 · 12/03/2019 21:48

LunafortJest I voted leave because I believe that the EU are forcing the country to take in more migrants when we are struggling to house, educate, feed & provide healthcare for the people born here. I don't object to migrants who have occupations that we are short of like doctors, scientists, teachers, nurses. The points system like Australia uses works well that migrants are assessed on the skills they hold & unless they have skills to get a job & support themselves & family they don't get in. We are a small island & are limited in how much land we have to house everyone, it's not about race, its about practicality.

Silvercatowner · 12/03/2019 21:48

Honestly, the shite some remainers come out with

@surferjet - snigger - you mean worse than That Bus?

We send the EU £350 million a week.... lets fund the NHS instead

Seriously??

Pumperthepumper · 12/03/2019 21:49

Just drop it Pumper, I voted leave I know you want to kick me but you look petty

Still can’t admit you were wrong, what a surprise. Hilarious that you complain about the stereotyping of leave voters.

Spiderbanana · 12/03/2019 21:50

I am angry. DH is from an EU country (not UK) and we live in another EU country.
It has been a source of constant stress for nearly 3 years now as we don't know what we need to do and how we will be impacted.

I am exhausted by it all.

I understand people who voted leave and I don't feel angry with them but I feel massive rage with Cameron, Farage, Johnson and co. They have created an unnecessary and massive divide in my country, wasted an enormous amount of public money and parliamentary time and for what?

Justheretogiveaviewfrommyworld · 12/03/2019 21:51

Really Pumper...were you a bully at school? Grow up.

jasjas1973 · 12/03/2019 21:51

Also I'm quite happy that people in the South might taste a bit of what we have been dealing with for decades to be honest

Well, that's cleared that up then, you want british families, children and the elderly to have a bit of suffering? quite the patriot aren't you.

I know you said Leavers weren't stupid but your comment makes me suspect otherwise lol!

Pumperthepumper · 12/03/2019 21:53

Bullying now, of course. Not wrong, just being bullied.

scarbados · 12/03/2019 21:53

Also I'm quite happy that people in the South might taste a bit of what we have been dealing with for decades to be honest

I'd be happier with a bit of levelling up so the North can have a taste of what the South always seems to have.

Justheretogiveaviewfrommyworld · 12/03/2019 21:53

Lol [hmmm] try living a day in my life before condemning me for being sick of the handwringing re the mere possibility of it.

Justheretogiveaviewfrommyworld · 12/03/2019 21:55

Pumper, I've tried being civil but now, just fucking drop it! [angey] You like many a remainer can't accept I don't agree with your perspective on things.

Pumperthepumper · 12/03/2019 21:55

When people say ‘the north’ do you mean Scotland? Or the north of England?

DarkAtEndOfTunnel · 12/03/2019 21:55

when we are struggling to house, educate, feed & provide healthcare for the people born here.

And why's that? It's got nothing to do with immigration, and everything to do with a political choice to restrict funds, pursuing right wing ideological dreams. Plus a bit of the problem of geography, and being in the middle of a second industrial revolution.

It is still noticeable that we have managed to provide more public services in the past while having a much lower GDP per capita, adjusted for inflation. This is a deliberate choice. It is not a choice made in Brussels, but in London.

Justheretogiveaviewfrommyworld · 12/03/2019 21:55

Angry FFS!
