You poor thing! Hopefully it’s either temporary hormonal madness or crap tests.

Fingers crossed for you OP.

HeavyLocks · 10/03/2019 13:09

You have to drag it out for two days?

Shitty reply 🙄

MrsPear · 10/03/2019 13:12

Ok calm down everyone

I have been sterilised.

I got pregnant 14 months post procedure - it was the traditional type with clips and a failure rate of 1 in 200.

I cannot emphasis enough op you need to get a clear response. If you are anyway unsure then you must seek medical opinion. No wasting time. You have big chance that it is an ectopic. Ectopics can kill if untreated. I had an ectopic.

KTD27 · 10/03/2019 13:15

OP if the blue dye test was a Sainsbury’s one they’re CRAP for Evap lines. FRER are the best. GL

HeyCarrieAnneWhatsYourGame · 10/03/2019 13:15

Get a FRER.

MrsPear · 10/03/2019 13:17

Btw when I rung the gp surgery to ask for advise. I was called back within 10 minutes by a gp. I confirmed I had a positive on a cheap dip test from Superdrug and he informed me to go straight to A and E and if I couldn’t get there he would call an ambulance. He rung me back again 30 minutes later to confirm I was enroute. I didn’t even feel ill. The hospital took me straight in too.

gubbsywubbsy · 10/03/2019 13:21

Blimey . What a shock !

BoobiesToTheRescue · 10/03/2019 13:23

Shitty reply 🙄

You can't have been on Mumsnet long then...

PreseaCombatir · 10/03/2019 13:24

Oh wow MsPear
OP that’s super serious.
She’s not going to even look at this for ages now is she, if she’s gone out

seeingdouble2 · 10/03/2019 13:25

Think it's deffo a negative plenty of examples on the conception board of exactly the same line with same result- negative, its the nature of the beast with these tests , OP go to the conception board. Good luck. Smile

seeingdouble2 · 10/03/2019 13:26

Oh and double check with a pink test Smile

yikesanotherbooboo · 10/03/2019 13:26

OP , it is unlikely but not impossible to become pregnant after sterilisation. If you are unlucky enough to be pregnant there is a higher than usual risk of ectopic pregnancy so if you get pelvic pain present yourself to a doctor ASAP . If you don't have pain or weird bleeding speak to your surgery on Monday to set early scan in progress.
Sterilisation is a good form of contraception with some benefits but is not the most effective form of female contraception ( vasectomy is also better) , hence the difficulty in getting sterilised when other less risky and more effective methods haven't been tried.
Best of luck.

PaulHollywoodsSexGut · 10/03/2019 13:27

All I see is positive tests OP. Come back and let us know how you get on with a FRER or clearblue x

SoupDragon · 10/03/2019 13:28

You can't have been on Mumsnet long then...

I have and also think it was a shitty reply.

PhalangeReginaPhalange · 10/03/2019 13:29

It would be interesting if both tests were wrong but agree that another test is needed! The Superdrug’s own are good

Coldandfrosty · 10/03/2019 13:30

Yes try a digital one

EmmaGrundyForPM · 10/03/2019 13:30

Please retest asap. I really hope that you get the news you want.

livefornaps · 10/03/2019 13:32

Hope you're okay

CaMePlaitPas · 10/03/2019 13:32

Oh you poor woman - can't imagine the stress.

Wishing you good luck, please keep us updated xx

MrsPear · 10/03/2019 13:34

yikesanotgerbooboo as I said as someone who has been there you can have a silent ectopic. By the time I went to theatre I was bleeding internally. IMO I have had far worst period pain and I had no shoulder pain or dizziness. That is why my gp didn’t wait and sent me straight in. As a doctor he knows that an ectopic doesn’t have to be dramatic to be serious.

cookiemon666 · 10/03/2019 13:35

I got pregnant after being sterilised. He is now nearly 12. Biggest bloody shock of my life

Storm87 · 10/03/2019 13:38

Iv just brought a CB Digital and will do it first thing in the morning and post on here regardless of the outcome. If it is positive, i will ring 111 as soon as i get the positive (my GP is absolutely rubbish) xx

brizzlemint · 10/03/2019 13:40

Obviously having on ovary does mean less eggs but it's been known for women with an ovary on one side and a tube on the other to get pregnant as it's all quite close together, that's why they say your fertility isn't halved after an ectopic pregnancy because the one remaining tube can pick up eggs from either ovary.

I hope that you get the response you want. I can't tell from the tests you posted but then I haven't looked at a pregnancy test in the lat sixteen years.

ApolloandDaphne · 10/03/2019 13:43

I doubt 111 will be able to help you if you are pregnant. If you are you are either going to have a baby and need to book with midwives the normal way. If you decide you do not wish to be pregnant then you look at the options available with that. Good luck anyway!

Namechangedbecauseiwantto · 10/03/2019 13:43

@boobies
Who cares if posters have been on for a long time or not, your reply WAS shitty, and extremely unnecessary. The poster needs support not spite.
