18 & 27 year old?

A friend of mine is 18 and is dating a 27 year old.

I find this a bit weird and looking for opinions as to whether I'm just being ridiculous and having too many opinions?
Would anyone else consider this a bit strange? Or is it socially acceptable after someone's 18?

I was 18 when I met my DS's dad who was 27. I felt sooo mature and grown up and could handle anything but he very much was in charge of our relationship and controlled our lives for the 4 years we were together as he was more of an "adult" and therefore knew better.

Leave them be, it's legal

My brother is 27 and dates younger women. He is immature for his age and would be eaten alive by women his own age!

It depends on the maturity of the couple.

Love all these posters coming on to say they have the same age gap, they met their DH when they were a teenager and he was nearly 30 like it's something to be proud of, etc.

Not one person has come on to say they met their DH when he was 18 and they were nearly 30.

Funny that.

Because most of us in full maturity have zero interest, relationship-wise, in a teenager. Confused

Yes, I'm fully judgmental about it. 🤷🏻‍♀️
