32 days to go until Brexit , which would you prefer ? No deal , the WA or revoke ? Which is best for the majority of the population of the UK ?

This is a genuine question , you can give an explanation or not for your choice, entirely up to you Smile

My choice would be revoke, if I was considering the rest of the UK population. This does not mean that the UK can never leave the EU, but that those in charge would have to come up with solutions that were not detrimental to the majority of the population.

Actually it's factually correct that they did. As it is correct that 50% of the population is more intelligent than the over 50%. The bell curve of intelligence proves that. God knows where Leave and Remain voters sit

PBo83 · 26/02/2019 14:43

*But why do they want immigration reduced?

Lets have the reasons.*

Control population numbers
Reduce pressure on infrastructure and public services
Reduce unemployment

All of these points are, of course, up for debate in terms of how effective Brexit will be but there are plenty of reasons to want a reduced level of immigration other than "'cos I don' t like foreigners'

Sheelala · 26/02/2019 14:46

Lets have the reasons

Oh I dunno, what possible reason other than racism could anyone have for not being willing to grant the entire world British citizenship.

BorisBogtrotter · 26/02/2019 14:47

"Reduce pressure on infrastructure and public services"

Immigration does not have a negative effect on public services, in fact reducing immigration will see reduced funds for public services due to reduced tax take.

Immigrants are less likely to use health services, and are net tax contributors even when benefits in kind are considered.

"Reduce unemployment"

Immigration does not cause unemployment in UK nationals.

"Control population numbers"

Non Eu immigration is far higher than EU immigration, although you need reasons for reducing population numbers too.

We know the real reasons why people want immigration reduced, the ones you have given are the cover story.

PBo83 · 26/02/2019 14:48

Every single sector of the country will get worse if Brexit goes ahead in any version.

Hmm

borisbogtrotter I don't understand? The vast majority of insults are coming from remainers.

PBo83 · 26/02/2019 14:48

We know the real reasons why people want immigration reduced, the ones you have given are the cover story.

Please enlighten me then.

punnetofgrapes · 26/02/2019 14:50

Leave - no deal.

The EU is broken, it needs reworking. Lets leave, we will be closely followed by France & Italy. We could then lead in the discussions for setting up a common market.

Btw, voted leave - most of my friends voted leave - my remainer friends wish they had been brave enough to vote leave!

themoomoo · 26/02/2019 14:50

*So, because a very small minority of people held racist views, everybody who voted leave (for whatever reasons) is somehow supporting this?

Yes.
By not condemning those racist views you are legitimising them. In the above statement, you minimise their impact and don't speak out against them.*

so are all labour voters anti semites?

BarbedBloom · 26/02/2019 14:51

Revoke for most of the reasons already stated. I don’t see an improvement, quite the opposite in fact

lerrimknowyouretheyir · 26/02/2019 14:52

We should push ahead irrespective and leave the EU with no deal, we will be better off without those bureaucrats.

(Too soon? I’m a Remainer. Revoke, revoke, revoke)

Gosh I made a mess of that question.

TalkinPeece · 26/02/2019 14:55

Bless

oreoxoreo · 26/02/2019 14:56

2nd referendum and either full leave or full remain option, now that we are fully informed. This deal is benefiting no one. I am a remainer by the way.

BorisBogtrotter · 26/02/2019 14:59

"Please enlighten me then."

Go look at the campaign leave ran.

79 million Turks are wanting to move here.

Breaking point.

The erroneous claims made, like you have, about immigrants and their impact on services, wages and unemployment.

Hmm I wonder what the problem was?

Namechangedforgoodreason · 26/02/2019 15:02

Sheela no that is not fact. Unless you agree with racists. Cite your sources

It is statistically fact that 50% will be more intelligent than the other 50%. If you want to start linking intelligence to race you have outed yourself.

Namechangedforgoodreason · 26/02/2019 15:05

Oh to add if the citation is from Brietbart, Bannon and or Wade. Well done you are alt right

Google it, there is a decent article on Wikipedia about it.

PeppermintCactus · 26/02/2019 15:07

Since every version of Brexit involves the country becoming poorer revoke.

This

Oh my god. Read that properly rather than the parts that justify your worldview

Cite a proper source

Leaving with no deal just means we start negotiations for a deal with an even more exasperated EU.

There is no sane leave scenario where we wont end up with a deal eventually - leaving with "no deal" is just a step towards a bad deal.
