Yonks ago I had a male flatmate who was gay. He was very beautiful and got constantly hit on by "straight" men. In clubs and through OLD and even on public transport. And they ALL had either girlfriends, wives, families and many had respectable professions too. But they were all very keen to have bit of secret fun with my gay flatmate.

What I'm trying to say is that with some men anything goes. Power and money must be very intoxicating too.

Bbb666 - i agreetotally gullible me... never seen a gossip website/don't read sleb mags/possibly never been in an environment where BC's sexuality was ever discussed/had nooo idea it was a supposed 'open secret'/didn't know that it was WELL KNOWN that his partner was a 'serial beard' (not a job that ever came up at school careers talks) some of these PP have amazed me with their 'claims'/comments... but i can't/musn't believe ALL of them as that wouldn't make sense

Once you go down the rabbit hole of reading blinds, you'll never go back!! There are some of them where they sound so far fetched that they can't possibly be true! But then they say that fact is stranger than fiction so who knows?!

The list upthread about openly gay actors? Where would you.rank Ben Whishaw and Mark Gatiss? Whishaw presumably teetering on thr brink of A list...

Mark Gatiss is brilliantly talented and has a wonderful career but it is pretty much exclusively based in the U.K. and he doesn’t have any Hollywood movies on his CV. He also writes or co-writes a lot of his own vehicles.

Likewise, Ben Whishaw’s career is highly successful but he has carved a niche playing characters who are variously quirky, introverted, sensitive, gay etc. His only romantic lead I can think of is Bright Star, when he played Keats.

Neither one is a Hollywood actor. Whishaw has worked on big international films like Bond but not as the male lead. I think Hollywood does have less of a problem with gay British actors but it still doesn’t let them reach the A list.

I’m sure the posters suggesting various gay actors who supposedly buck the trend mean well but it doesn’t help anyone to deny that Hollywood has a serious problem with homophobia. There are no openly gay, bankable A list movie stars, just as there are no openly gay footballers in the Premiership. Statistically they must exist but they remain closeted because of deeply homophobic industries, vulnerable to blackmail.

we know hollywood has long had a problem with gay stars but still the idea that beards are today regularily paid by actors, agents and studios is unsubstantiated.

I love Bradley. He can do no wrong in my eyes. Leave him alone.

Ben Whishaw and Mark Gatiss are not in the same league as some of the supposedly gay actors who have been spoken about on here.

Ezra Miller is not a bankable lead, though - we’re talking the league of Dwayne Johnson, George Clooney, Matt Damon etc. He is near the beginning of his career though and maybe Hollywood is evolving enough that he will be one day.

I can’t comment on the beard theories and I have absolutely no idea who may or may not be gay!

No one on that list of openly gay actors are anywhere near the level of;
Tom Cruise, John Travolta, Bradley Cooper, Hugh Jackman, Will Smith, Guy Pearce...

I thought months ago that Gaga was overwhelmingly infatuated with BC. I saw a bunch of interviews that Gaga gave running up to the release of the movie and she would just GUSH like a schoolgirl about BC in every single interview with no self awareness. It was obvious what her feelings for him were to the point where I felt a little embarrassed for her sake as I don't think she was aware of how clearly she was showing her feelings.

No idea about BC, my guess is that he is well aware she's crazy about him and he probably enjoys that but somehow I actually don't see him getting together with her... Don't know why I think that.
