Kevin Spacey may have been considered A list at one point, but I'm not sure if he is openly gay now.

It's quite sad that Hollywood isn't more tolerant of gay actors. There seem to be more gay actors playing straight roles on TV, such as Matt Bomer, Zach Quinto (actually he's in movies too), Jim Parsons, Wentworth Miller, Colton Hayes (yeah, I loved Teen Wolf), etc.

i dont think anyone is denying an issue - but neither is claiming A stars today pay beards to marry them being backed up by anything.

Sarah Pullman is an openly gay actress who plays straight and gay roles and I would consider her an A list at this point.

I've worked in PR for decades, one of my clients was a Large cinema brand. We did extensive research into film markets and audiences...the biggest by far is China.

China is massively homophobic and conservative, which is why the studios will never cast an openly gay mega a list actor in a blockbuster leading role...which is why they don't come out...

My late night fantasies were destroyed when I heard Zachary Quinto was gay. Well it allowed me to have even more fantasies knowing he was gay and would not impact my happy marriage

All mostly TV and not film and certainly not leading ladies. Even Ellen Page has been very vocal about her parts being reduced since she came out as gay, post X Men.

All wonderful at what they do by the way but royally fucked over by the Hollywood machine. You do realise what posters mean by Hollywood film leading actor A Listers?
