Apologies if this is elsewhere... AIBU to think that they cannot possibly have NOT fallen for each other?! Their chemistry is sizzling, their body-- language 'close' (possibly after months of filming) Reminds me of Bogie & Bacall showing age--

OP posts:
goldengummybear · 26/02/2019 13:41

The bigger question is: why do they have to do that in 2019?!

Homosexuality is illegal in many countries.

ResistanceIsNecessary · 26/02/2019 13:42

Re: BC's ex. I suspect there is a confidentiality clause that restricts what she can talk about. So she may well be able to be unpleasant about him, but not stray into any subjects which are verboten.

IamPickleRick · 26/02/2019 13:48

Posters saying they'll be disappointed if an actor is gay because he is their fantasy etc.

I only said was gutted because the chances he’ll marry/want to shag me are greatly reduced (and chances cut even further now he’s married and/or shacking up with Gaga! And that I am no where near as hot as either of them) Not because I’m thinking “ew he’s gay, I’ve totally gone off him now, I’ll never relate to him in a straight role ever again!” Confused It makes no difference to how I see him in a role tbh, his sexuality doesn’t affect how much I think he’s beautiful. It’s a great shame he can’t date men openly if that’s what he wants to do. There’s no need for him to officially make an announcement about who he’s in to, because straight people don’t have to do that. It’s just accepted. It should be no different for gay actors. Maybe he’s bi, who knows.

And Gaga doesn’t look like a man at all... Hmm

goldengummybear · 26/02/2019 13:49

Agree that there will be a confidentiality agreement with stiff penalties for exposing stuff. I'd keep schtum for generous maintenance payments.

IamPickleRick · 26/02/2019 13:50

Someone's sexuality shouldn't be 'news'!

^ this 100%

PineapplePower · 26/02/2019 13:58

Because to them being gay is a flaw, and in their toxic little minds, it means they are better than these successful, talented celebrities that they're slating/accusing of being gay

You’ve got that totally wrong. The biggest speculators on the closeted of Hollywood are gay/lesbian gossip sites. Oh, unless you think they are self-loathing homos or something.

Check out DataLounge for their recurrent gossip on who’s in the closet: www.datalounge.com/thread/23176048-stars-who-will-never-come-out-of-the-closet

And yes, Bradley Cooper is gay. Shayk is a serial beard. You didn’t actually think Hollywood stopped doing the fake relationship thing in the 50s, did you?

Pinkblanket · 26/02/2019 14:27

Ian McKellen? List of awards longer than your arm.

ResistanceIsNecessary · 26/02/2019 14:32

IamPickleRick I don't think you'd think that way at all! I wasn't picking on you specifically, just trying to use it as an example of how the system works - because Hollywood will think that people will stop fancying him, or paying to see him, if they know he's gay. And as PP have pointed out, there are huge swathes of people who still think being gay is disgusting and sinful - and areas of the world where it is illegal full stop. Being 'out' comes at a cost in terms of career advancement, sponsorship deals, role offers, press junkets and only being able to go to certain countries or places for your own safety...

southeastdweller · 26/02/2019 14:36

Ian McKellen didn't come out until he was 48 and didn't become successful internationally until ten years after that when he'd pretty much become a (formidable) character actor.

LuciaSpain · 26/02/2019 15:14

I don't buy Irina being a beard, why in gods name would she? Reason it out? She is successful in her own right, she doesn't need these men to pull her off the floor. I think it's nonsense.

Pinkblanket · 26/02/2019 15:20

That's over 30 years of acting since he came out publicly.

Bowchicawowow · 26/02/2019 15:31

Ian McKellen isn’t a leasing man.

Bowchicawowow · 26/02/2019 15:31

Leading man!

Jellyonawonkyplate · 26/02/2019 15:56

Lucia millions of dollars, kudos of 'being with' one of the biggest Hollywood stars without going through any actual crap of being with him, potential cheating, emotional wrangling etc etc. Higher level of fame for her, look at this year, would she have been centre stage at Oscars if it wasn't for him? Plus he genuinely seems a good guy. If I was her, I'd be his beard any day, if that is indeed what she is.. and let's face it, we don't know for definite.

ThanksItHasPockets · 26/02/2019 15:59

Not only is Hollywood notoriously homophobic, but producers are mindful of international markets in very conservative countries. None of the actors listed above have leading man star power which can carry a movie internationally and attract serious funding, like Leo DiCaprio, Brad Pitt, Bradley Cooper, Will Smith, Tom Cruise, Daniel Day Lewis etc.

Rupert Everett has been very candid about the negative impact on his career of being openly gay. There was a furore more recently when Ian McKellen accidentally outed Lee Pace.

Luke Evans is the only example I can think of and I think it’s relevant that his background is in London theatre rather than film.

Helmetbymidnight · 26/02/2019 16:06

i dont believe hes gay - have no inside info though Smile
things are changing - at a terribly slow pace thats for sure.
ezra miller is doing pretty well and ben wilshaw.

Lemonsquinky · 26/02/2019 16:08

BlueJeansNiceTop, Wentworth Miller, Rupert Everett, Neil Patrick Harris, Richard Chamberlain, Denholm Elliott, Ian Mckellen, Derek Jacobi, David Hyde Pierce, George Takei...

IamPickleRick · 26/02/2019 16:12

That’s true, Ben Wishaw is very successful but he does well as a voice actor, or in specific roles where a quiet well spoken gentleman is required. He’s not in female love interest roles.

I didn’t think you specifically meant me ResistanceIsNecessary Smile but I am a LGBTG ally and didn’t want anyone to think homophobia might be why I said it.

Jellyonawonkyplate · 26/02/2019 16:12

Lemon none of those you mention are leading men who play straight 'heart throbs'

It's been going on since forever, look at poor Rock Hudson

Lemonsquinky · 26/02/2019 16:13

Usernbers123, Wentworth Miller has some time off because he was ill with depression. He is the most gorgeous man.

CrispbuttyNo1 · 26/02/2019 16:21

"don't buy Irina being a beard, why in gods name would she?"

Maybe she is also gay 🤷🏻‍♀️. There is no way on earth that ronaldo is straight. It could be an arrangement that suits her too.

There is zero chemistry of any kind between her and BC.

On an additional note, when is Lewis Hamilton finally going to get out of the closet.

Budsbegginingspringinsight · 26/02/2019 16:21

What is this blind website people are talking about. Is there link .is it known for truthful reporting

Some things are so outrageous it's worth the giggle, but some things do come out in the media as true...........

I love reading them!! It's very addictive.

thecatsthecats · 26/02/2019 16:28

There's not just bearding to cover sexuality though, is there? I kind of assume that Taylor Swift's agent is always touting for someone to tie in to her latest release when she isn't with a proper boyfriend (I don't believe the gay rumours - just the attention seeking ones!).

Harry Styles seemed very convenient as a profile booster for both of them, and Tom Hiddlestone was excruciatingly set up.

1ndig0 · 26/02/2019 17:00

Sorry but I find it ridiculous when people come on here and make proclamations about some celebrity, as if it’s irrefutable fact and they have some kind of insider info. “Oh look, an anonymous poster says so-and-so is xyz - he must be!” I wouldn’t mind, if you were his cousin or next door neighbour or something, but what are you going on exactly? Some online gossip forum?

As for this woman, think about it. As if anyone would give up the prime of her life to be married to a gay man. She is beautiful, she could have anyone and she simply doesn’t need to do this. And you would have to be the shallowest of the shallow to bring a child into a facade marriage. It just makes no sense.

As for BC, how many gay men do you know who marry a woman, not once, but twice! And then have a child with a woman. Fgs! There was no need for that - they could have just stayed childfree or pretended one of them was infertile. Again, you would have to be pathological to being a child into a sham marriage that’s nothing more than a media construct. Total waste of time and energy, not to mention unfair to the child.

Everyone was adamant George Clooney was gay, but they’ve shut up now. I don’t doubt many actors do keep these things on the down-low for whatever reasons, but really, the only thing that is certain is that nobody on here has the first clue.
