I’ve always been a bit of a worrier, and often don’t feel fully at ease with the world. But now, because of the internet i’ve got myself into a state of panic. I’m reading all sorts of conspiracy theories, things i come across accidentally, about stuff i really shouldn’t be reading about.

My biggest worry at the moment is the “new world order” and the plans they apparently have in store for us all. I just feel very despondent and scared for my children and the world they’ll have to live in when i’m no longer here. Please can anyone reassure me that it won’t be that bad.

There is a local theory about a whole hidden complex, I have met many intelligent people who totally believe it, there is even photographic evidence of workmen going in and out for well over a year, the amount and type of materials bought in verses the size of job planning permission was given for, a shaky photo of some blue prints. It is 100% bollocks made up by the builder, lent credibility by an important politician happening to visit the area and being seen talking to him and then a local person putting their house up for sale which actually does have a nuclear bunker. Actually the builder was just doing work round his actual job, so people saw him arriving at 5am and leaving at 7/8pm but didn't see him leaving to do other jobs in between and he has a twisted sense of humour where he couldn't possibly just say that when asked. He assumed people would realise it was crap but kept things vague enough that people added their own details.

Point is, it is quite easy to convince people of all sorts of crap and there are always conspiracy theories about everything, the really convincing ones are only convincing because they contain just enough truth to make it believable and then are repeated by people who believe it who are always more convincing.

Of course the wealthy control the world. That's how lobbying works. Most politicians aren't immune to bribes.

We should be most concerned with large, international companies lobbying governments to allow them to carry on polluting and decimating the world's resources. The fact that the earth is going to be a useless, scorched husk in the foreseeable future is the truly scary thing.

However, there's literally nothing anyone can do about it. Carry on recycling and walking instead of using the car? Maybe. Negligible returns. Until large companies stop their behaviour there's literally no point. But, it does mean that you are freed from your personal responsibilities! So relax and enjoy the ride, there ain't much time left to appreciate the lifestyle we're all currently living!

Oh poor OP, don't take this BS to heart. Do get a copy of Jon Ronson's THEM you'll find it entertaining and useful. Do be aware that Alex Jones, David Icke, Trump, Steve Bannon et al are all massively invested in keeping their audience scared and their sharing of their special secret knowledge is their way of keeping you hooked so money keeps rolling in. Who doesn't want to know a secret? Who needs evidence when you can have made up gossip instead? So much more interesting. Calm yourself. Its going to e a lovely Spring day, flowers are coming out. Go out and let the loons fester in cyberspace.
