What random / secret things do you find attractive?!

Luckyduck88 · 21/02/2019 17:05

So... here are the random things I find attractive in a man.

-someone who is good at catching. This sporting prowess makes me weak at the knees.

-an effortless parallel parker. Swoon.

-Smoking. Hear me out... I do not want a smoker in fact I'd actively avoid a man that smokes... but deep down maybe it's the Hollywood old school glamour (or more likely deep seated crushes on the bad boy at school lighting up behind the bike shed) hangs head in shame

What are your slightly less obvious 'secret' things that make you fancy someone?

Also a lovely singing voice.

Njordsgrrrl · 01/03/2019 20:54

Trawlerman DP in all his layers about to go out into a raging storm and work in it. Bringing me coffee while I'm warm under the covers where he has been.

Never lets me drag him back into bed though so it probably doesn't count 😒

SurgeHopper · 01/03/2019 20:56

Depends on the guy obviously but blushing. There's a hot guy at work who is youngish (around 28-30) and he sometimes blushes. Not even funny how sexy this is for some reason...

darkandtwistyinside · 01/03/2019 21:04

Jupe aftershave
Dh used to wear it when we were dating and if I smell it on anyone I get all fuzzy.

Irish accent
Fitted but not tight jumper on a freshly showered bod

Crabbyandproudofit · 01/03/2019 21:05

Saxophone player.

Bandy legs, I always think they are fast runners.

Intelligence but also a sense of the ridiculous.

JustHereForThePooStories · 01/03/2019 21:32

Chubby thighs.

That little line of hair extending from navel to pubes.

Willing to try different foods- not afraid of stinky cheeses, and knows his way around a crab mallet.

Cursing.

AhhhHereItGoes · 01/03/2019 21:36

Very creative people. I'm not particularly romantic but I do lovecrrative, thoughtfulpeople.

A guys butt.

Long, straight hair on a woman.

Moody/unapproachable characters that turn lovable (fictional)

In fact fictional crushes are often my thing.

Water features, the Hoover, lawn mowing, tumblr dryer etc all soothe me.

I am as bizarre as I sound.

AhhhHereItGoes · 01/03/2019 21:38

Braveness also. But not the boastful kind, just the going out of the way to save onebevaise they wanted to not for glory.

Likewise I really like sensitive, in touch with their emotions and others but not moody men and women.

NannyMcfanny · 01/03/2019 21:42

I love a man with a nice husky type voice. I'm easily drawn to voices.

NannyMcfanny · 01/03/2019 21:43

Oh facial hair and glasses Blush

willowmelangell · 01/03/2019 22:11

I once accidentally saw a super-fit man get changed after his work. I could see him through a part opened curtain. I've seen men take clothes off before. Drunk/tired/quick/posing/self conscious etc
He just casually stripped off his shirt and trousers and it was the most erotic, sensual, masculine thing I have ever seen in my life. I couldn't breathe and my mouth actually went dry, I was struck dumb.
Of course, if I had been a Lady I should have made my presence known.....

Cattenberg · 01/03/2019 22:21

Chunky working boots/hiking boots.
Very dark eyes
A foreign accent, especially from Southern or Eastern Europe
I had an ex who always smelled very clean and sexy. He said he wore CK One.

On the flip side, I can’t stand protruding nose hairs. Total turn-off.

LellyMcKelly · 01/03/2019 22:31

Broad shoulders. My DP is an ex county swimmer and has shoulders like a massive coat hanger. They are just beautiful.

BrizzleMint · 02/03/2019 08:00

Ah, yes - that swimmer's triangular torso!

greenpop21 · 02/03/2019 19:00

I have given several posts upthread but none are important unless there is kindness first.

PatchWorkPrunella · 02/03/2019 19:09

Tall, dark, slim, long legs, broad shoulders. Unusual features and accent.

Or short, stocky build and fair colouring.

A broad smile is a must, and a fantastic sense of humour. Nothing sexier.

IndigoSpritz · 02/03/2019 19:31

Do any women like trainee musicians ? BTW, the desired answer is 'yes'.

MitziK · 02/03/2019 19:52

Trainee musicians? Dear Lord, no.

Spoken as a musician. They aren't anything special, IMO, and all to frequently are utter knobs possibly because some women throw themselves at them.

IndigoSpritz · 02/03/2019 19:57

Oh dear. I'm six months into learning the piano. I tick a number of other boxes mentioned on here, mind. Not that any of them help me get laid.

MitziK · 02/03/2019 20:01

Sorry. I'm sure once you're past the Fur Elise stage, you'll get some who are impressed however, especially if you can sing, too.

dartitus · 02/03/2019 20:16

Big hard working hands with veins, forearms, nice bum and a good trimmed beard, luckily my partner has all ❤️

Thebearsbunny · 02/03/2019 20:19

I get my DP to speak German to me in that deep guttural German accent, it gets me going every time.
Large muscular thighs I can lick.
Lots of body hair, and yes nice forearms and hands.

IndigoSpritz · 02/03/2019 20:22

Funny Fur Elise should get mentioned. It's a massive musical cliche which I cannot stand. I have already made it clear to my piano teacher that it is one tune I refuse to play. So far, so good. I am paying, after all.

I can sing, apparently. But only in the comfort of my own home. No karaoke in Indigoland.

TeachesOfPeaches · 02/03/2019 20:30

Tortoiseshell glasses

meg70 · 02/03/2019 20:53

Who even knew the forearms/reversing car was a thing? Wtf?! I thought it was just me. I remember a time a year or so after I met him when my BF was reversing (using palm of hand on steering wheel -that's deffo also a thing- someone else said it here) AND the forearm thing AND chewing gum (he only does that when driving, his exW hated it apparently, not me!) ....oh my. Also he's v confident which helps!
