What random / secret things do you find attractive?!

So... here are the random things I find attractive in a man.

-someone who is good at catching. This sporting prowess makes me weak at the knees.

-an effortless parallel parker. Swoon.

-Smoking. Hear me out... I do not want a smoker in fact I'd actively avoid a man that smokes... but deep down maybe it's the Hollywood old school glamour (or more likely deep seated crushes on the bad boy at school lighting up behind the bike shed) hangs head in shame

What are your slightly less obvious 'secret' things that make you fancy someone?

@RagingWhoreBag
Yeah or Ian Paisley!

greenpop21 · 23/02/2019 22:59

A strong nose, even quite on the large side.
Being good at DIY or at least giving it a go.Hopeless
Not being metrosexual-don't want to share the bathroom mirror.
Decent shoes.

Crushedvelvetcouch · 23/02/2019 23:06

Comparatively short legs, long torso and a short, stocky build.
I'm an extremely long limbed 5'9 but all my partners except for one exception have been muscular men of 5'7 to 5'8.
I put it down to genetics. My kids will probably be in proprtion or something...

TrainSong · 24/02/2019 08:35

Northern accent: Manc, Lancs or Yorks especially. Makes me swoon.
All the men I've ever been besotted by have a Lancs accent, including DH.

TheFirstRuleOfFightClub · 24/02/2019 11:21

Sheffield accent. I think that goes back to watching Lady Chatterley's lover with Sean Bean when it came out. Oh and Sean Bean.

I think women with a slight squint are very attractive.

Whatjusthappenedthere · 24/02/2019 11:50

The way my DH makes a little urrr type sound from the back of his throat withoutout using his tongue. It’s a cross between a small growl and a purr. It’s his way of signalling his annoyed himself in some way. I think I like it because it shows control. I tend to just say Fuck .

anitagreen · 24/02/2019 13:18

Oh and Scouse accents especially when they make that ermmmm noise when explaining something

HelloDarlin · 24/02/2019 13:28

Women who go out for a night in just jumpers & jeans, no make-up & hair that’s just their hair. And look amazing. French girls are very good at this!

Hippopotas · 24/02/2019 13:41

Men with crooked noses. No idea why.

Ameanstreakamilewide · 24/02/2019 13:59

My husband used to work for the MoD and the 'posh soldiers' who he worked with, would send me a bit ga-ga.

The Sandhurst-type...y'know?

Sometimes I couldn't even look them in the face! It was especially a bit too intense when they were in their full uniform. Blush

I could talk to them for hours.

puppymouse · 24/02/2019 15:12

I'm what was coined a "chubby chaser" many years ago when I was at uni. I love a tall, well-built man carrying a bit of extra weight. Kind of rugby player in his youth sort! I'm not keen on ripples muscles and six-packs. They do have to have the right attributes to carry it off though.

DH is slim and toned though 😆

Agree with forearm thing. Also nails and hands. Large, clean hands with large clear nails that are kept nicely. I couldn't even let a man touch me if he had long nails or bites them. Bit odd.

12FreeRangeEggs · 24/02/2019 16:02

I’m still having wet dreams about the man who was climbing up the lamposts to turn on the Christmas lights in our high street last year.

He was wearing one of those safety crotch harnesses which when combined with his jeans just seemed to emphasise the whole crotch area and really emphasised his clearly large penis. Plus he had on a scruffy cable knit jumper with the sleeves pushed up to reveal his strong veiney forearms. He was tall, athletic build, bit of a beard, prominent adam’s apple, moody looking and had a Poldark scar.

Everyone was looking at the Christmas lights, he was doing his job and i couldn’t take my eyes off him. My heart melted even more when he broke away from his moody pensive mode to pick up an elderly lady’s walking stick and he handed it back to her with a smile. Lucky bitch.

sourdoh · 24/02/2019 16:31

twelve thank you!! i think i love him. Im not really bothered about looks. I never was. For me attitude and character are the sexiest thing ever.

if i HAD to make a small list, it would be thus:

Built like a tank - no six packs required but broad of shoulder and long of limb (pretty tall myself)
Scars in the eyebrows/jaw/forehead
Twinkly come to bed eyes
Slow, languid smile (fans self)
Big nose (a common theme...)
Well filled trousers (arse and thighs i mean )
Knuckly hands attached to strong wrists and forearms
Grey hair or bald
Beard or stubble... thinking of all the times i got a red chin from enthusiastic snogging with a stubbly bloke
Quite depressing really because im single and not getting any.

meow1989 · 24/02/2019 16:35

I love a good back, no hair though!

Shouty snarky men (malcolm tucker might be my dream man Blush)

TheFirstRuleOfFightClub · 24/02/2019 16:49

I love sarcasm too. I could jump House (Hugh Grant's doctor character) but Hugh does nothing for me.

greenpop21 · 24/02/2019 17:06

I don't go for muscle, not big obvious ones anyway. I can appreciate them but they don't get me going at all. Far more attractive to me is as a pp said, the twinkle in the eye, the totally not aware of themselves attitude, kindness, manners, humour.
I like tall, slimmish men but if the above boxes are ticked , I could go for a hairy biker, who knows!!

greenpop21 · 24/02/2019 17:07

love a good back, no hair though!

Don't mind a hairy back at all!

lalafafa · 24/02/2019 17:14

Bandy legs
broad shoulders
can fix things
kind to kids
witty
big knob

rootsandbranches · 24/02/2019 17:15

Weird but gappy front teeth! I'm straight and been married 20 years but I find it really attractive in men and women. 🤷‍♀️

NancyPickford · 24/02/2019 19:06

Confidently reversing the car with arm across the passenger headrest, that arm with a white shirt casually rolled up to reveal a tanned forearm, with dark hairs sprouting underneath a watch strap. Him cooking a meal while pouring me copious glasses of wine. A fine leg in a kilt. Laughing at my jokes; making me laugh until I'm helpless. Strength.

HappyLife21 · 24/02/2019 19:08

I like a crooked nose.

PivotPivotPivottt · 24/02/2019 19:17

I came on here to say the arm round the passenger seat when reversing thing, thinking everyone would be thinking what a weirdo and it was the first post. I'm so surprised at the number of people who agree I really thought I was alone with this Grin. Haven't read the full thread but also changing gearsConfused, I've no idea why!

skittycat · 24/02/2019 19:18

One of mine is ridiculous.

I love it when I can see a man tensing his jaw muscles. A man I work with does it when he’s stressed and I can’t help but watch him Blush

RoboticSealpup · 24/02/2019 19:31

@skittycat Hahaha my DM used to like it when Richard Gere did that in Pretty Woman. I never understood what she was on about at the time because I was a child and probably shouldn't have been watching a movie about a hooker

12FreeRangeEggs · 24/02/2019 20:20

Just to add to the headrest caressing - manual gear changes in quick succession. Especially when teamed with strong forearms and lovely hands and the guy is quite tall so his legs seem to fall open and one rests against the centre console.
