Please see pic below. been i hospital with Ds for 10 days now got discharged late last night came home bathed and put ds to sleep didnt notice anything. this morning changed his clothes etc again nothing about 11am ds wet his top so went to change it notice the pic below. to me initially it looked like a burn but impossible as ds literally hasnt been out of the bed all day he still not 100% no heaters in room apart from central heating which was turned of about 10am this morninv but again not hot enough to scald him. took him walk in centre they said its a burn at least 2 days old which is now very infected. when i said it cant be burn i was told it is a burn definitely and if i didnt know when it occured could anyone have physically burnt him? aibu for the doctor to have suggested this and for those of u wondering his dad is working away atm and he has had no outside contact since we come back from hospital.

Poor you. It's so awful when they're in hospital or sick. Sad

bobstersmum · 17/02/2019 20:40

How is he this morning OP? Have they got to the bottom of it yet?

Thanks

Hi

His okish this morning just extremely tired. he had his second dose of antibiotics looks a lot less sore today thankfully. they are waiting for swab results to come back to see if they need to change antibiotics but judging by the fact that it looks lot better i think the one they given will work hopefully.

thank you for your concern.

Hope your son is feeling better my son had cellulitis on his eye!!! Was awful was fobbed off twice by gp only to take him back and get told to go straight to hospital was in for four nights. Got his follow up appointment through been ongoing for 3 months it may take a while to go. Hope he recovers well and you aren't too tired in hospital Thanks

GreatDuckCookery6211 · 21/02/2019 22:25

Glad to read that he’s doing well OP, you must be relieved.

i have a feeling it might linger. Ds is prone to lingering infections really hope this isnt the case. tbh im exhausted Ds refuses to lie in the cot the nurse requested to see if she could get him a bed instead of cot to see if that will help or at least i can lie in with him so heres hoping. Dh just gone home. Gonna be another long night of lurking on mn threads.
