I don't know whether I should call 111

My husband suffers from diverticular, and since last night he has had a temperature, which seems high when I touch him (don't have a thermometer) paracetamol hasn't worked his had them 4hourly since last night. He has had black tarry diahorea which on googling sounds like some sort of bleeding.

He's not very steady on his feet and has been using me to support him to the loo.

Should I call 111 or wait to see if he gets better or worse?

You did a great job and your duties are definitely over for now. Hope you get to sleep and that there is good news of DH a little later. Don't rush back. He's in safe hands there.

So relieved that you got him to hospital. Hopefully you are managing to get some rest yourself now.

Hi everyone sorry for not updating its just been crazy...

He has diverticulitis with small abscesses that they can not drain. The antibiotics he was on has not been working so today he's been put on different antibiotics. Hopefully the new ones will work his temperature is still out of wack. We don't have a clue how much longer he will be staying at the hospital at the moment as nothing is under control yet.. Still has a lot of diahorea, temp high and normal and pain has crept up too now.

Just want him home now it's so hard him being away for this long.

Apologies for not updating you all sooner x

How are you feeling OP? Did you manage to get a decent sleep?
I hope your DH is feeling a little better and his temp has come down. Have you any family who can give you some support?
