Shopping for some new bedroom furniture and I've seen a few things on there that are really nice and aren't too expensive. I've never used them, nor has any of my friends so I'm wondering if they're a legit company (decent products, not going to rip me off or take ages to deliver, that sort of thing.)

Has anyone used the, for good or bad?

Thanks!

(This is the bed, BTW: www.wayfair.co.uk/furniture/pdp/home-haus-plymouth-bed-frame-heme7743.html?piid=15864366)

Yes they are legit. I’ve used them.

furryelephant · 14/02/2019 15:22

We've had lots of good quality products from them and never had a problem. Think the only issue I've had was ordering a beanbag and it coming in a box about 5 times the size of the beanbag and couldn't get it inside Grin

MrsCasares · 14/02/2019 15:22

Ask Lorraine Kelly, she seems to know all about them.

caffeinebuzz · 14/02/2019 15:24

I've used them before, and found them really good. Occasionally there is a longer (few weeks) lead time on delivery but it's always been clear when ordering.

UtterlyDesperate · 14/02/2019 15:24

I've recently had a shit experience with them (two weeks delay in delivery, then wrong item delivered - after toing and froing, they are dispatching another. On March 1st Angry) and was moaning about it to DM "God, it wasn't Wayfair, was it? I had so much trouble with them..."

We're opposite ends of the country - I remember the saga of her fucked up furniture. Unfortunately, I didn't remember it was Wayfair Sad

Two shit experiences might not be at all representative - but given they've had my money since January and I'm looking at mid-March assuming they get it right, for something their website showed me I'd get by the end of January, I'm in the "not even if hell freezes over" camp.

Sorry, OP

I've bought a couple of rugs and a tv stand from them, no issues at all and good quality products. I would recommend Wayfair.

LayTheTableMabel · 14/02/2019 15:26

I had 2 mattresses off them. Some issues with delivery but this was dealt with quickly & to my satisfaction. Lovely mattresses. I would use them again.

ladyratterley · 14/02/2019 15:28

I bought a Denby dinner service from Wayfair. It was much cheaper then from anywhere else & came packaged really well. I was impressed.

Excitedforxmas · 14/02/2019 15:29

I’ve used them no bother too

chuffnstuff · 14/02/2019 15:29

I've had a few things from Wayfair and never had any issues other than one item turning up a day late.

QuestionableMouse · 14/02/2019 15:30

Thanks! Mixed bag of reviews there (just like on Trust Pilot)

I've just found pretty much the same bed on Amazon so might use them.

I got a porcelain kitchen sink from them it arrived damaged but I just took a pic of it they told me to dispose of it and sent me another one straightaway. No issues would recommend.

5SleepingLions · 14/02/2019 15:32

I bought 3 beds from Wayfair and they are really lovely beds and mattresses.
I had no problems with delivery and I will definitely use them again.

HankNPat · 14/02/2019 15:32

Nice bed, QM!

I've only bought one thing from them, which was a lovely rug - decent quality.

As it was last Summer, I don't recall having any problems; between order and delivery was quite quick and it was delivered by UPS (who I have faith in)!!

PinkOboe · 14/02/2019 15:33

I think they’re pretty sneaky. The give their items different names and makes. I bought a light fitting. When it arrived it was made by blah blah and when I googled that I found the same thing, different name, half the price

Esker · 14/02/2019 15:34

We've had nice things but as pp have said, delivery was hit and miss. We ordered 6 chairs, 4 arrived. Then, when we were expecting the 2 remaining chairs, we received a table which we had not ordered, with the delivery guy telling me he was supposed to be picking up chairs to be returned 🤷🏻‍♀️ Aside from that, products good and customer service pretty good also.

TrashKitten10 · 14/02/2019 15:54

We bought our bed from there with guaranteed delivery by the Friday. Straight after ordering this changed to between the following Monday and Wednesday. I phoned to say that I was back at work on the Wednesday and it needed to be delivered before this, especially considering that I'd only ordered it because of the earlier guaranteed delivery day. They weren't overly helpful on the phone but delivery changed again to confirm it would be on the Tuesday so I sucked it up. Anyway, the bed turned up out of the blue on the Monday. The order tracking continued to say it was being delivered on the Tuesday even after it arrived and I half expected another bed to turn up.

So basically the guaranteed delivery dates are not guaranteed, however the bed is good quality for the price so I can't complain about that.

thecatneuterer · 14/02/2019 15:58

I buy from them all the time (I'm a LL and I buy a lot of furniture for my rented houses from them). No issues. A couple of items were faulty and they were promptly replaced without quibble.

ShartGoblin · 14/02/2019 16:01

We ordered a bed from them and the bed frame arrived as expected, great quality & no complaints. The mattress arrived on the right day but the complete wrong time and was chucked over our fence. We found that strange because we'd had a specific delivery slot and later realised that they had sent a budget mattress instead of the memory foam topped one we had ordered.

We contacted them and said we actually can't be bothered to return the mattress for the right one (it was just before Christmas and I had relatives visiting). They were very nice about it and refunded more than the difference in cost so we got the money owed back and enough extra to buy a mattress topper.

TLDR: The couriers they use are shite but their customer service is fab and they are happy to fix any issues.

QuestionableMouse · 14/02/2019 16:19

It's the delivery bit I'm worried about because I've read some shocking reviews!

ProfYaffle · 14/02/2019 16:22

I've found the quality of their stuff varies hugely. We bought a hall table which was just awful, bits missing and broken, didn't fit together very well. Also a light shade with a glass dome that suddenly shattered and showered the bedroom with shards.

Have to say the customer service was good and both things were sorted out. Other items have been fine.

MagicMojito · 14/02/2019 16:23

Yep family have had awful service, sending wrong items, taking payment then not receiving goods and waiting too long for refunds. I'd really avoid...

Artus · 14/02/2019 16:24

Mixed feelings. Ordered two bathroom units. Very pleased with quality of the items but one was delivered with two shelves missing, replacements ordered but not sent, then one shelf was sent even though I queried the order and was assured that two would be sent. Took weeks to be sorted out.

RiojaHaze · 14/02/2019 16:33

The reason they have lots of makes is because they're the furniture version of Amazon. So basically dropship for furniture companies and manufacturers.

dinkystinky · 14/02/2019 16:34

Bought a few small items from them, no problem at all.
