To think the apple crunch Milk Tray is absolutely vile?

Got a box of Milk Tray from DH today (not really sure why, we never normally bother with Valentine's as our wedding anniversary is close) and DD and I have just started scoffing sampling them.

Haven't had these chocolates for a while and I think the Apple Crunch one might be new? Anyway, what were they thinking? It's foul. I can't get rid of the taste in my mouth Envy

Milk tray are putrid now. They used to be a good value treat but since the Cadbury buy out and recipe ruination, they are only fit for the bin.

Yanbu they’re disgusting, they added them quite a while ago and I didn’t buy them for ages, I found a box without it in the other day though! In different shops they seem to have different versions so keep checking the back of the box if you like the other chocolates in the box.

All Milk Tray are vile. I remember in the 80's they were the height of deliciousness and my Gran always shared hers with me at Christmas. Now they taste of cheap despair.

And yes Milk Tray have lost a bit of its former glamour but nothing has fallen so far as Terry's All Gold. Now that stuff really tastes shit.

Yes I'm not normally a fan of Cadbury since the recipe change but I won't say no to free chocolate. But the apple one tasted like vomit.

Too much bloody fruit in Milk Tray chocolates! There's an apple one, a strawberry one and an orange one. FFS is it a box of chocolates or an orchard??

My husband bought me a large box of milk tray last Valentine's. They were disgusting. I kept spitting them out into the bin! Yesterday I bought myself the biggest box of lindt lindor balls instead...heaven! 😍

They definitely aren’t as nice anymore! And what the hell has happened to Roses? They used to be my favourite but just taste cheap and revolting now. Lindt Lindor Balls are the best!

obviously we seem in a minority in my house we love the whole box, have got fed up with some other boxed chocs, that don't have any real variety they are all nuts or toffee based, what really works with milk tray in our house is I hate strawberry creams but my eldest dd loves them her second fav is the salted caramel, I love orange ones which others don't, dh cant eat hazelnuts loves fudge, ds loves all the nutty ones and the apple crunch is a like for all of us

Mmmm yes I love a Fry’s Turkish Delight Bar. They are too small though (could eat 3 of them in one go!)

I'm not a big chocolate fan in any case, but a work colleague had a box of milk tray around (a gift from someone we don't think was particularly grateful) and she brought it into work. It's lasted for several weeks because they really are vile. Every so often we'd eat one just exclaim at how hideous it was!
They'd all gone yesterday, and I actually quite missed them!
