Just wondering how everyone came up with their nicknames for MN because I do not have the foggiest why I came up with MuddyMoose!

Siameasy · 10/02/2019 23:01

DanielRicciardosSmile · 10/02/2019 23:08

F1 driver with an extremely big smile.

littleyellowpencil · 10/02/2019 23:17

I was holding a little yellow pencil when I signed up

Tillygetsit · 10/02/2019 23:35

At school a teacher was trying to help a boy with his maths. He wasn't paying much attention and she told us we'd all have to sit there until he gets it. He said "Who's Tilly Getsit?" Sounds lame now but we all had hysterics and one girl laughed so hard she wet herself. No it wasn't me but I'm sad enough to remember it and snigger a bit.

Seren85 · 10/02/2019 23:49

I've used variations of Serendipity as a user name in various places since the days of Yahoo Chat and I was born in 1985.

TooManyPaws · 10/02/2019 23:49

Rather self-explanatory about this household though I wouldn't be without any of them.

@MightyAtlantic good to see another Runrig fan - one of my favourite songs too.

AnotherPidgey · 10/02/2019 23:54

There were loads of Pidgeys in Pokemon Go. Not so many lately though! Grin

GrimDamnFanjo · 11/02/2019 00:32

Adventure game reimagined...

mynameisMrG · 11/02/2019 00:36

I love the character Mr G from Summer Heights High and he sings a song called my name is mr g

April241 · 11/02/2019 00:50

I joined site when I found out I was pregnant with twins. I'd had my first scan in April and the sonographer had commented "it's like tesco, 2 for 1!!"

April241 · 11/02/2019 00:51

grim loved that game!!!!

FunkyKingston · 11/02/2019 01:02

It is the title of an album by Toots and Maytals. I realised pretty soon after picking it that it suggested I'm from Kingston (either Upon Hull or Upon Thames when I'm not)

ImFineThankYouSusan · 11/02/2019 01:20

Best Red Dwarf episode

halfwitpicker · 11/02/2019 01:21

Someone on here wrote about some halfwit picker in a factory - I found it hilarious

SayMehToTheDress · 11/02/2019 01:33

Although I've been with my OH for many years and have never wanted to get married, I find myself strangely addicted to the programme 'Say Yes to the Dress'. Quite often I find myself a bit 'meh' at the dress they choose, so the programme has been renamed in my house and has become my username. For now.

I really don't know why I like the programme. Blush

OwlBeThere · 11/02/2019 01:38

I'm a big fan of the jackson 5, and when my dd2 was little she announced one day 'this song is silly, humans and owls can't be in love', I'll be there was playing at the time and it dawned on me that she thought it was Owl be there. so since then in my house we say 'owl' for 'i'll'...gets some weird looks in tesco when one of us says 'owl get it!'

EleanorAbernathy · 11/02/2019 01:40

It's the name of the crazy cat lady from the Simpsons. I'm a crazy cat lady! Grin

penguingirl · 11/02/2019 01:50

Hehe! Mine is pretty self explanatory, I'm also a big lover of penguins. I like all the cat related ones, and I like that I link to 2 pps due to having a Siamese cat named Loki :-)

PennilessPaladin · 11/02/2019 02:01

From Hearthstone (online card game). I name change often and my names just tend to be whatever I'm thinking about at the time

WeBuiltThisBuffetOnSausageRoll · 11/02/2019 02:07

I'm the architect of the original idea which led to the founding of Greggs, which I sold to them for a very healthy sum. I used my vast fortune to establish a bucolic ruritanian metropolitan community on the windswept Caribbean island where I live as a tax exile. Our urban anthem has no lyrics but it is the music from the classic well-known Mr Pastry routine.

Mabumssare · 11/02/2019 02:08

Penultimate line from a poem one of my DC was learning.

The lament to a lost dinner ticket

WeBuiltThisBuffetOnSausageRoll · 11/02/2019 02:10

....should have clarified: the name of our city is Buffay, in honour of our life-monarch Queen Phoebe, but it's commonly misspelt - even by me sometimes Blush

OwlBeThere · 11/02/2019 02:26

Mine is something I was once told by a beautiful and glamorous older lady.

I was wearing a necklace and she complimented it I said 'don't you think it's a bit much?' She said 'if I can give you one bit of advice it's that too much is never enough and you can apply that to all aspects of life'
