She is currently advertising some diet injections, using an old picture of her as the 'result'. It's also the same picture she used for her Herbalife 'result'. It's also a picture that was taken after her cosmetic surgery!

AIBU to not be sure if she is being really stupid, because people who follow her will work this out, or if she really clever, because people are buying into her pish anyway?

Is that even legal? Sounds like misrepresentation to me? I haven't seen the ad and wouldn't look at it for more than two seconds anyway because I can't bloody stand KK.

She's really stupid but has some very smart people using her as a money maker.

I have no sympathy, she's well aware of what's going on (even if she may not have been when she was younger), and she chooses to go along with it for the cash.

If the advert is on social media then there is a good chance she's had no involvement in it.

Martin Lewis recently settled out of court for the same reason. Some dodgy company selling a dodgy product will use, without their permission, photos of well-known people to add credibility to their product.

It's on social media yes, but it's on HER social media so she must know about it, Kerry herself posts on her own instagram. It's also been in the papers, but I suspect they took it from her SM in the first place.

@Bryjam - Ahhh...OK. I don't really use social media very much so won't have seen it. Definitely dodgy but she's sell her soul for a could of bag (or a couple of bags!) so it doesn't surprise me.

If people are stupid enough to buy something on the basis Kerry Katona uses it, they are stupid enough to fall for old pictures.

They are starting to come down hard on this, even without using pictures from ages ago.

There is currently a campaign to stop celebrities promoting diet products (eg. Appetite suppressant lollies, skinny coffee etc) on social media.

She went on to loose Women, this week in a bikini.

That's the official image/bikini that is being used.

She had a mini tummy tuck, but all of the before pictures, were she put in weight, were after the tummy tuck.

The gutter press are running the old image when she was heavily into weight training.

You mean she's keeps making money and tries to work herself out of bankruptcy? Using her past drug issues is a cheap shot, it's been very much to do with being abused as a child and her MH issues.

There's probably a new love interest in her life that she needs to finance.

That’s not the case though. The picture from when she was weight training is the picture Kerry herself has used both now and when she sold Herbalife. The gutter press have only used what she gave them, via her very own SM account.

Meh, maybe she uploaded the wrong bikini shot. If she was on tv in a bikini this week, then she's hardly trying to hide how she looks now.
Lots of female celebs endorse diet pills, injections, 'lifestyle' supplements. I have much less patience with the superstars endorsing these products. In fact, Jameela Jamil launched a petition this week calling for a crackdown on false advertising around the diet industry. You can sign it here That might be more productive than targetting Kerry Katona personally.

Brian and Kerry have children together, he has a reputation for being a deadbeat Dad, offering no childcare and no child support.

Brian and Kerry's relationship and maintenance arrangements have nothing to do with my post. You may have well said Elvis Presley never provided for his child for all the relevance Brian has in this post. If I wanted to rip apart their lives I would have posted about them. But this was merely a question regarding the advertising Kerry is doing.

I have questioned the morality yes. Nothing to do with how many children or fathers of children Kerry has. But it's false advertising at best, and it's aimed at the younger generation. Our daughters, and that is not ok irrespective of how many children the advertiser has:

There's a difference between actual advertising and promoting products through her own social media content. It's not covered by the same regulations.

Legally yes. But promoting a product IS advertising. If you want to argue the point don't waste your time, just replace the word 'advertising' in my posts with 'promoting'. What she is doing is the issue here, not what you call it. You can't say have these injections and it will make you look like this if actually, you looked like this before having said injections
