a vice. Mine used to be the booze, but I knocked that on the head when I found myself drinking up to two bottles of wine a night. Now it's shopping. I just love to shop,be it for food, stuff for the kids,make-up,clothes,shoes,household goods or anything else. I just get a buzz out of it. What's your vice? Is it something you worry could get out of hand, or do you see it as a simple pleasure that you deserve even if it might be bad for you and/or your bank balance?

Also staying up too late, oversleeping and laziness (probably all related)

Eye shadow palettes, I have way more than anyone (including drag queens) could reasonably use, but I still keep succumbing. #sheepish

@RussellSprout Me too! Have you discovered Prime Wardrobe yet?! You can order stuff without paying until you decide if you're keeping it or not! 😱😱😱

Xbox.

Pregnant and feeling really rotten most days (various reasons) so it's hugely enabled my vice...

SilverBirchTree · 06/02/2019 06:47

Buying clothes and toys for my toddler. Mostly second hand for environmental reasons & also because it makes me feel less guilty...

flameycakes · 06/02/2019 06:58

Pots gone, tobaccos gone, drink gives me earache and makes me wee, so that's gone, caffeine gives me migraines so that's gone, last relationship put me off sex so that's gone (I'd rather a cup of tea to be honest and I was rampant). Sweets and chocolate gone (diabetic), anything carbilicious gone, I could count crumbly white cheese as a vice I suppose.

Smoking cigarettes for me.

chocolateishappiness · 06/02/2019 07:18

Red Bull. Currently 39 weeks pregnant and I think right now I'm more excited about the fact that I can have a Red Bull as soon as I've given birth rather than seeing my actual child

@turncloak you seriously need to knock that on the head or you'll end up as a diabetic. All energy drinks such as red bull and monster do so much damage, they shouldn't even be sold

poglets · 06/02/2019 07:32

Pushing the self destruct button.

Not so much now, but it's definitely mine.

pineapplebryanbrown · 06/02/2019 07:51

So far I've given up booze, fags, caffeine, caffeine free diet coke and am on a much needed diet. I also had to stop watching Breaking Bad on a continuous loop.

Currently i am addicted to pretending I am the heroine of the B Movie Betrayed (1988) starring Tom Berenger.

pineapplebryanbrown · 06/02/2019 08:02

Also addicted to buying perfume samples and researching perfume. I can get stuck in a loop on anything though.

Past vices - heroin and benzos. The latter were by far the most unpleasant to withdraw from.

Now weed and ginger beer, Fentimans if I'm feeling fancy but Old Jamaica bulk bought from Amazon for everyday.

Yes to holding grudges, the list of people I wouldn't spit on if they were on fire is getting longer & longer the older I get.

Oh god yes Pom bears the ready salted ones. The salt, the grease, the crunchiness 💕

Eattothebeat · 06/02/2019 09:47

Reading these has made me feel better about mine. Diet coke, crisps, mumsnet, spending money, charity shops, property shows, cheese, rightmove, wine and lots more.

Moominfan · 06/02/2019 09:49

Cannabis and food. Not touched former in years but still fat.

@chocolateishappiness
Bloody hell, on a thread that mentions alcohol, weed and HEROIN as some peoples vices, it's the Red Bull that you single out?
I'm definitely aware that it's not good for me - hence it being a vice, I'm afraid! Grin

It used to be class a drugs and going on massive and very very fun benders that lasted for days. Now I just can't stop eating haribo.
