a vice. Mine used to be the booze, but I knocked that on the head when I found myself drinking up to two bottles of wine a night. Now it's shopping. I just love to shop,be it for food, stuff for the kids,make-up,clothes,shoes,household goods or anything else. I just get a buzz out of it. What's your vice? Is it something you worry could get out of hand, or do you see it as a simple pleasure that you deserve even if it might be bad for you and/or your bank balance?

Shopping and sugar for me too. I could give both up but I'd be miserable.

smoothieooo · 06/02/2019 16:08

Gluten free crackers, fully laden with soft blue cheese
Tesco gluten free shortbread
Malbec (although aiming for 3+ wine free nights a week)
Good coffee
A cigarette with either a glass of Malbec or a good coffee Blush

I like eating, drinking and sitting about all day doing nothing constructive at all - in fact I'm a veritable lazy bones. I delay most jobs, the washing, ironing, dusting, changing the bedclothes, etc.

If I'm lying in bed I don't really want to get up, in a nice hot bath I want to stay there, sitting down watching telly - again I don't want to get off my backside. There must be a name for it - self indulgent? Bone idle? Yes, I'm afraid that's me.

halfwitpicker · 06/02/2019 16:29

That's what I though, turn cloak, re Redbull

There's always one. Always.

Fuck me sideways.

YourSarcasmIsDripping · 06/02/2019 16:34

Oh yeah, forgot red bull. Can't even face the day without one.

Aridane · 06/02/2019 16:38

Mumsnet and Diet Coke

6timesthemess · 06/02/2019 16:42

Pepsi Max - I don’t drink or smoke and am fairly boring but I drink Pepsi Max like there’s no tomorrow

wanderings · 06/02/2019 17:14

Netball. Any day I'm not on the court, I'm grumpy.

Buying trainers, and going sockless in them (although I always do grudgingly wear socks to play netball).

BBInGinDrinking · 06/02/2019 17:23

The clue is in the name....

Also sweet tea, long cuddles with the DCs, chocolate, large pets, a good dry white wine or cold craft beer, cake, cosy crime dramas, (not the really gritty ones), champagne, cheese and onion crisps, a sea view, a too hot bath, a good book, clean sheets, sleep.

Preferably all the above combined.

paranoidmother · 06/02/2019 17:24

Books and World of Warcraft ( although I’ve limited myself) maybe cheese as well.

BlueThing · 06/02/2019 17:27

Patisserie.
Sweets (the ones I liked as a kid and still do).
Reading MN threads instead of getting on with my plan for world domination.

Rawlypd · 06/02/2019 17:28

Random I know but it's books with me. I can't read enough and handbags. I've just found recently that buying a really nice handbag gives me a real boost and a spring in my step.
I'm going to try and be good though otherwise I'm going to have to start hiding them which is no way for a woman of my age to behave😂

Gingersdohavesouls · 06/02/2019 17:29

Smoking weed.
I have a serious pain disorder which means I spend most of my life in my bedroom, trying to ease the pain and it will one of the few things that help.
Although I’ve just started CBD oil so hoping to replace one for the other

Racecardriver · 06/02/2019 17:29

I have an addiction to sugar. Not sure it’s a vice though. MN possibly.

Buffythechillislayer · 06/02/2019 17:29

Planning future events 😊. If I'm not planning for something I get depressed.

Dollymouse · 06/02/2019 17:30

Judging people. I love to judge people.

I am judging you lot.

BBInGinDrinking · 06/02/2019 17:30

Chocolate and booze could easily get out of hand because of the DCs if it wasn't for the DCs. Sleep getting out of hand? Chance would be a fine thing.

browneyes77 · 06/02/2019 17:38

Salt.

Can’t have chips without salt and plenty of it. None of this couple of shakes malarkey. Cover the lot.

Veg needs to be salted.

Cooking any meat includes salt (and pepper)

Pasta - salt goes in when cooking

Potatoes - salt goes in when cooking

Basically I’m going to die of a salt overdose....

sarralim · 06/02/2019 17:41

Jewellery...preferably vintage.

BBInGinDrinking · 06/02/2019 17:42

Oh yes. Salty, vinegary chips.

Freshstart40 · 06/02/2019 17:42

Australian soaps and coffee.

StarLadyQuill · 06/02/2019 17:43

Hopefully I'm not judged too much for this but mine is weed.
I suffer with depression and at the end of a long hard day at work or uni and then doing the school runs etc, having a joint at the end of the day with a cup of tea out the garden is my life saver! It's much better for you than having a glass of wine or a bar of chocolate, plus it's all hidden in a locked box inside another locked box inside a locked shed!!
It takes away my stress instantly and I can have a nice relaxing night!

neonlight · 06/02/2019 17:46
