Saw something horrific on Twitter and I can't unsee it

Last night I clicked on a link of a man taking a crap on a woman's face. I'm so horrified that I've been crying on and off since. I haven't been able to sleep either.

I'm seriously traumatised. I can't believe people do things like this and my heart hurts for the woman involved.
It made me think there are probably so many women trafficked or on drugs who agree /forced into such degradation . The world is a horrible place.

I'm not sure the point of this post but I'm just in pieces right now

OP posts:

Was it definitely non-consensual? I totally appreciate that it’s a horrifying prospect for you and I understand why you’re upset, but it is a practice which some people willingly engage in. It may comfort you if it was something the woman had willingly agreed to.

If that wasn’t the case and it was an abusive situation then I’m so sorry you saw something so traumatic. Time will help the feelings pass. You may also feel comforted by something like making a donation to an anti-trafficking charity (but only if you are able to do so without causing yourself financial harm or stress).

I think this post title should perhaps have a trigger warning - maybe something to ask MN about.

I agree with the pp, some people are into that.

It's been around a long time. There's sections of sex clubs just for it. Men and Women are into it. Some not to that extreme so they buy glass tables.

It's known as Skat.

Birdsgottafly · 05/02/2019 12:46

Do you realise that degradation is a sexual fetish?

Bittermints · 05/02/2019 12:48

It's revolting. If people want to do that kind of thing in private and it's consensual, I suppose it's nobody else's business, but putting in on social media is way beyond the pale. Twitter should be removing things like that. Did you report it, OP?

KittyWindbag · 05/02/2019 12:48

I know how you feel OP. I have seen various awful things online over the years. It’s going to become more and more of a problem in the modern age and we still need to find a way to deal with it.

ChatNicknameAlreadyInUse · 05/02/2019 12:50

The man and his mistress (if it's the same video!) are local and it was completely consensual if that makes you feel any better? Lives are ruined round here though. His poor wife and kids Sad

Sparklesocks · 05/02/2019 12:52

I’m sorry you saw it, it can be shocking to be caught off guard with extreme things.
As PP have said it might be consensual though, some people are into scat play which is quite an extreme fetish but some people are into it.

shitholiday2018 · 05/02/2019 12:55

I’m a little bemused at your reaction, are you so dramatic about other stuff? I don’t particularly want to see that activity myself but, consent issues aside, it wouldn’t render me a jibbering wreck. Pull yourself together and move on.

gamerchick · 05/02/2019 12:56

It's scat play. It's not my bag but some people really get off on it. Try push it out of your mind. People consent to this stuff.

gamerchick · 05/02/2019 12:57

I dunno, everyone has that switch. When I read about munting I felt physically ill. Some things have that effect.

Silkie2 · 05/02/2019 13:03

Ime (limited) experience the people who post horrible stuff are idiots with a severe lack of empathy. I remember hearing about a horrible use of kittens which I won't go into here and it makes me sad that my lovely young GDCs will no doubt be presented this sort of stuff by some lout, in the not too distant future. Some people have high levels of empathy- nice for you if you can just ignore it, not everybody can.

JemSynergy · 05/02/2019 13:06

Instagram is also terrible for this sort of stuff. Full of porn which I think is crazy because he minimum age to open an account 13.

I wish porn wasn't allowed on Twitter. Yes I know some people are into it, but I don't want to accidentally come across it on mainstream social media.

TheBiscuitStrikesBack · 05/02/2019 13:09

DO NOT GOOGLE MUNTING 🤮🤢

shitholiday2018 · 05/02/2019 13:09

I realise people have different tolerance levels but losing sleep and crying on and off is a disproportionate reaction, unless there are abuse triggers in which case all bets are off. OP hasn’t said that, so I genuinely think the best advice is to take a deep breath and get on with life.

Snoozysnoozy · 05/02/2019 13:10

Is it? Where did you find the porn on Instagram, eerrr asking for a friend

shitholiday2018 · 05/02/2019 13:10

I am desperate to know about two cups and munting without offending my search engine history....

Eliza9917 · 05/02/2019 13:10

I've never seen porn on instagram and I've had an account for years.

Dimsumlosesum · 05/02/2019 13:11

I once searched for chocolate ice cream, scrolling through video links and there was one with two Japanese women eating chocolate ice cream. It wasn't chocolate ice cream. Over a decade ago and it's still burned into my brain.

kindlyplay · 05/02/2019 13:11

You are so shocked you can't unsee it, but decided to share the information on Mumsnet?

shitholiday2018 · 05/02/2019 13:11

Oops one girl two cups, two cups I’m guessing will take me to afternoon tea rather than hardcore girl on girl action

DaveCoachesgavemetheclap · 05/02/2019 13:11

Thank God the internet was not around when I was growing up! When I was about 8, in the mid 70s, I was playing in the park with my sister and we found a discarded adult magazine. The images were probably very tame to what many children are exposed to nowadays online, but it had a terrible effect on me. I couldn't get the pictures out of my mind, and it really distressed me for a couple of weeks. I would be exactly the same as you, OP!

As an aside, I remember when I was about 15, being told that some people do wear stuff on glass tables, and I just didn't believe them!

Passing4Human · 05/02/2019 13:11

"....must not Google munting.... must not Google hunting...."

shitholiday2018 · 05/02/2019 13:12

FFS two girls one cup! Please tell em what it is now so I’ll shut up?
