Saw something horrific on Twitter and I can't unsee it

Last night I clicked on a link of a man taking a crap on a woman's face. I'm so horrified that I've been crying on and off since. I haven't been able to sleep either.

I'm seriously traumatised. I can't believe people do things like this and my heart hurts for the woman involved.
It made me think there are probably so many women trafficked or on drugs who agree /forced into such degradation . The world is a horrible place.

I've seen stuff like this over the years on the internet that has really affected me. I don't think the OP has a problem. I think people's reaction of 'meh' is a problem.

I find it completely gross but a lot of people are into this sort of thing. My old colleague used to be! I saw the video of the young woman decapitated while travelling with a friend a few weeks back. I was sick. Some twisted shit on twitter.
Although, I am glad it was leaked because people need to see the shocking truths, but I am still not right 5/6 weeks later, and it was on my mind all of Christmas. I had to keep going to the bathroom for a quick cry.

How does one accidentally click on a link like that on Twitter? Seriously, OP, I actually can't understand how you do that? Did it say "look at this hilarious video" and you clicked on it not having a clue what it really was?

There are content settings on Twitter which will prevent you from seeing this sort of stuff, also, don’t click on links....

I'm wondering how you found the image in the first place? I see a few startling NSFW things on Twitter but that's because a lot of the people I follow are people who write a lot about sex.

If it's upset you to this extent, you might want to look into getting some sort of MH support, particularly if you are generally easily upset or very anxious at the moment.
