I was woken up at 1:30 with bad stomach cramps. I ghave tried a hot water bottle, paracetamol and peppermint tea but it is not easing. I am lying in a ball not sure how else i can ease it.&

Can you have a hot bath, the heat of the water might help to relax you and help with stomach pains.

sashh · 31/01/2019 04:48

Are you sure yo don't need a doctor?

Do you have any anti inflammatories on the house?

If yo are sure it is bowel related then one thing that sound counterintuitive is to lie flat on your front, it can get things moving.

Thisisthelaststraw · 31/01/2019 04:53

Are you sure it’s your bowel? Have you got IBS or similar condition? Have your bowels moved?

Jellyjumpers · 31/01/2019 04:58

I dont have a bath but hoped the warmth of the hot water bottle and peppermint tea would ease things.

I dont think i need the toilet as am always quite reggular and have been. I tried lying on my stomach to see if it was trapped wind although it does not feel like it. I do not know if i need a dr or should see if it settles by morning. If it wasn’t so much more

MidiMitch · 31/01/2019 05:09

Period pain?

Jellyjumpers · 31/01/2019 05:13

I have a mirina so not period related. I also cant stand up propperly and feel odd.

OP posts:
Thisisthelaststraw · 31/01/2019 05:15

Do you still have periods?
Could you be pregnant?
Upper or lower abdo?
Middle or to one side?
Last stool normal?
Eaten anything different?
Appendix out?
Any other symptoms?

Hard to advise on what you should without an overall picture. I feel for though. I have ibs and it’s excruciating when it flares up.

I’d just be worried you could have something more serious and us all telling you you’ll be grand.

MidiMitch · 31/01/2019 05:15

I would take an ibuprofen as this is anti inflammatory- paracetamol is just a pain killer.

Thisisthelaststraw · 31/01/2019 05:18

Are you in UK? Is it 111 you call? I’m in Ireland so don’t know but might be best to ring them or equivalent in whatever country you’re in.

Liamandlee · 31/01/2019 05:19

Could it be you still have Endo that had not all been removed or has returned. Currently in a similar position I have an endometrial cyst. Do you still see gynae? Xxxx

Jellyjumpers · 31/01/2019 05:22

The pain is quite central around the lower stomach and bellie button area, but oddly goes into my right hip and shoulder. Swaas not hungry yesterday but had a bit of pasta and cheese sauce for dinner.
Last stool was normal.

Have not had appendix out but pain isnt on the right.

Jellyjumpers · 31/01/2019 05:25

No chance that i am pregnant so not worried about eptopic.
I get some spotting but no periods.
Feel like i am over reacting to call 111.

OP posts:
Jellyjumpers · 31/01/2019 05:27

No dont see gynae anymore. I think i may have endo and back and take amitriptiline for it.

OP posts:
Jellyjumpers · 31/01/2019 05:30

Sorry for the bittie responces i do not have any omeprazole which i use with antiinflamitories.

MollyHuaCha · 31/01/2019 05:31

I think you should call for medical advice. Hope you fell better soon.

Thisisthelaststraw · 31/01/2019 05:31

Threatened appendix can start off as referred pain around the belly button that moves towards the right hip. Not saying that’s what it is just that it can present that way.

Another poster mentioned endo. Very possible with your history.

Ovarian cyst?

You have coil. Not sure of reliability so can’t really say but pain on one side and radiating into shoulder can be a sign of ectopic pregnancy.

I’d be reluctant to say wait until tomorrow until you can be sure it’s nothing serious like ectopic or possible rupture of appendix. Think you should call 111 for advice.

Hope you get an answer and some relief.

Thisisthelaststraw · 31/01/2019 05:34

Sorry, cross post.

So not ectopic but please call just for proper advice. I’m not sure a doctor has answered your thread yet so best to get correct advice. Isn’t that what 111 is for? I wouldn’t worry about over reacting Smile

Ladyoftheloch · 31/01/2019 05:36

I would call 111. Acute pain is rarely a brilliant sign. And even if they just reassure you, it’s better than worrying. Remember, they would always rather reassure a non-emergency than have you potentially ignore something serious because you don’t want to bother them!

Hope you feel better soon!

Jellyjumpers · 31/01/2019 05:37

Thanks will give then a call

Jellyjumpers · 31/01/2019 05:49

Waiting for a call back.

OP posts:
Thisisthelaststraw · 31/01/2019 05:58

Great

Let us know how you get on Smile

Claudia1980 · 31/01/2019 05:59

For women these can also be the symptoms of a cardiac event. Especially the pain radiating to the hip and shoulder on the left. I would go to A and E.

Jellyjumpers · 31/01/2019 06:05

Thanks all for the support am feeling irrationaly anxious about this.
