I was woken up at 1:30 with bad stomach cramps. I ghave tried a hot water bottle, paracetamol and peppermint tea but it is not easing. I am lying in a ball not sure how else i can ease it.&

What’s making you anxious?

BookMeOnTheSudExpress · 31/01/2019 06:13

Well, the internet doctors telling her she might be having a heart attack have probably soothed that anxiety eh?

Hope you feel better soon OP.

Jellyjumpers · 31/01/2019 06:14

I dongt really know why i feel anxious. Partly i am worried there is something seriously wrong but also that there is nothing wrong. A bit Abiout taking time ofcf work. Also because i dont know when i will get a call.

I dont think its a heart attack. I am in my early 30s so think this would be unlikely.

I’m just a person on the Internet. I’m not a doctor and I can’t rule anything out but I do feel it’s unlikely to be cardiac.

Though not always, most heart attacks will have chest pain or discomfort. Some people may have back pain or upper abdo (epigastric) pain. It can radiate to you neck, jaw and either shoulder. Some women (post menopausal or diabetic) can be pain free and still having a heart attack with other symptoms including shortness or breath, dizziness and sweating.

You haven’t mentioned any of those and your pain in umbilical/lower.

Wait to see what 111 say. I’m sure you’ll be fine. Has it eased at all?

Jellyjumpers · 31/01/2019 06:39

I am concerned in case i need to go to hospital.

Still waiting for a call back .

I’m sorry if I’ve caused you further distress. I’m just really cautious giving advice on threads like this. We know you don’t have an ectopic pregnancy but imagine you did and I said “ah I’m sure it’s just constipation. I felt exactly like that last night and I was fine”?

Lots of posters actually do say things like that and whilst we know they mean we’ll i think it’s dangerous.

I think someone whose informed and given the correct advice (always ring a professional or go straight to ED) is better served on MN.

It’s not to scare but to make aware.

How are you feeling now?

Jellyjumpers · 31/01/2019 08:06

Spoken to the out of hours who said A&E. They want to rule out appendicitis or pancreas problems.
Thanks for the advice because i wouldnt have called with out it. Just waitinhg for a friend to take me and really scared.

This is the wrong place to ask

Kezzywezzy · 01/02/2019 18:23

Well done for getting medical advice. Hope it all settles down. Just want to say that ibuprofen can make some bowel conditions worse.

Jayfee · 01/02/2019 18:32

Hope you continue to get better.

Orchidflower1 · 01/02/2019 18:33
