Did you keep your BFPs? I was just reading a thread were OP had posted a picture of her postivive test and it made me want to dig mine out!
Has anyone else kept there’s? If so for how long?
I keep mine in an old lush giftbox!

OP posts:

No, I found the babies were a decent enough souvenir.

LittleScottieDog · 29/01/2019 16:48

I've kept both of mine with the date written on! Only had the first one from Oct 2017 though, so haven't had them long.

RightOh · 29/01/2019 16:49

I've been TTC for a while so after two dozen million negative tests, I probably would keep a positive!

But No, I found the babies were a decent enough souvenir made me properly chuckle! :)

SauvingnonBlanketyBlanc · 29/01/2019 16:50

I wanted to keep my digital one but didn't realise the "I'm pregnant" disappears after a bit

LittleScottieDog · 29/01/2019 16:51

And my first bfp resulted in a miscarriage, so no baby as a souvenir. The bfp is the only "proof" I have. Maybe that's why I've kept it.

student26 · 29/01/2019 16:54

I’ve kept my positives, with dates on too.

Elclr · 29/01/2019 16:54

I have mine. I don't have the baby to show for it, so it's kind of my only reminder it happened. Smile

Probably a bit odd, granted. I just haven't had the heart to throw them away.

53rdWay · 29/01/2019 16:54

No, but I’ve kept photos of them. All the souvenir value with none of the pee!

ShatnersBassoon · 29/01/2019 16:57

Ah, sorry everyone Flowers. I shouldn't have been so offhand.

JoantheVampireSlayer · 29/01/2019 16:59

Same as ScottieDog and Elclr, I lost both of them so yes, I kept the tests...

MuddyMoose · 29/01/2019 17:00

I haven't kept mine but I do have a photo of the test.

Elclr · 29/01/2019 17:00

ShatnersBassoon, not at all. Your comment made me smile actually Smile

JacquesHammer · 29/01/2019 17:00

Yes I have two.

One for DD, one for a lost baby.

ChesterGreySideboard · 29/01/2019 17:01

My only ever bfp ended in a miscarriage that and the scan pictures are very precious.

SummerInSun · 29/01/2019 17:04

I kept mine for my first pregnancy where I lost my son in the second trimester. For my two subsequent pregnancies that were successful, I think I got rid of them once the babies where a few months old. As others have said, if you have the baby (and scan pictures, newborn pictures, first cute outfit, etc), they don’t seem important any more. But when you lost the baby, they matter a lot. At least that’s how I feel.

NKFell · 29/01/2019 17:05

Made me chuckle too shatnersBassoon- you replied to the OP so don't feel guilty Smile

I did keep my first one for quite a while and then the second I did too but by the third (and fourth) I'd given up so threw them away. Nothing wrong with keeping them though!

LaurenSarah22 · 29/01/2019 17:06

I've got three that I've got and only one baby from them. The other two I can't face throwing away

gentlyscented · 29/01/2019 17:07

I've got all 5 of mine in their memory boxes, not really sure why I kept them tbh.

Elclr · 29/01/2019 17:07

I would like to say I feel a lot more normal now.

For years I've worried I was odd in keeping it, but with no scan photo I don't have much else.

So. Thank you everyone Flowers

Isadora2007 · 29/01/2019 17:08

Yes I’ve kept mine from my last two babies- didn’t think to from the first two.

VeganCow · 29/01/2019 17:08

Mine have been in the loft for 20 odd years. Dread to think what state they’re in.

NKFell · 29/01/2019 17:09

Definitely not odd Elclr Flowers

PotteringAlong · 29/01/2019 17:10

I’ve got all 3 of mine for my 3 children with dates written on

Darkstar4855 · 29/01/2019 17:10

No, just photos of mine. I think if I got pregnant again and had a loss I would want to though.

Guineapiglet345 · 29/01/2019 17:12

Yes, I sellotaped it into the baby keepsake book next to the scan picture Smile
