About bridesmaid dresses (BTW I know I am not)

Ok so I may have been a bit clickbaity but I am getting so frustrated.

3 adult bridesmaids, we are paying for the dresses budget of £80 each. One size 8 petite, 2 size 16/18s.

All I want is sage green dresses with sleeves (don't mind if they are 1/2 full length or 3/4), all bridesmaids happy with the style. I am basically totally flexible on length and on embellishments...

I can't find anything anywhere with sleeves. They don't exist! I am getting married in October I don't want freezing cold blue bridesmaids! Plus the two bigger girls are conscious of their arms.

Also I don't know if I can trust janky sites like jjs house or bliss extra. I have already checked johnlewis, coast, phase eight, Dorothy Perkins, monsoon etc.

Please help me! Where did you get your bridesmaid dresses from?

AIBU in thinking that there should be somewhere I can get these dresses from or am I being picky and unreasonable?

Never heard of this website before, but they are here: www.shoplifeuk.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=16746

@Loopytiles
Did you mean to be so rude? Why bother commenting if you are just going to judge and not be helpful at all?

I have already said I don't mind the option of a shrug.

I could stretch the budget if I absolutely had to, but neither me or my fiancé want to.

Our overall wedding budget is £4500 and we are spending within our means. We could comfortably double it but frankly we think it is a waste of money.

Thanks for your judgement though.

We both like the colour, already have the stationary and we don't want to change it.

Sorry if people have already suggested it but don't discount Amazon. A quick search and I found these. Sorry if I'm barking up.the wrong tree but it's a quick peep at what you can find on there. All in budget too.

When you say stationery do you mean wedding invitations?

I doubt that people are going to notice that the bridesmaid dresses match the invitations. TBH guests tend not to notice stuff like this anyway. As long as they are fed and watered, not kept hanging around too long and are in a comfortable ambient temperature they will be happy - and so will you.

Have you looked at Folkster? Irish based but they will ship. The Isla dress above ? They also do gorgeous embellished capelets for over all their dresses , their customer service is amazing (you can message them on Facebook), sizing is good too. I got my BM dresses there last year

NeverPromisedYouARoseGarden · 29/01/2019 13:27

Eek! Please be careful. My mum bought an LK Bennett dress from a site like that and it was actually a rip-off "copy" from China that didn't look anything like the original.

Just find the dresses you like and get a seamstress to add sleeves?

I have order 2 dresses from this site and the quality are really good for the price. Just go a size up.

@NeverPromisedYouARoseGarden

I think it's likely that the DP dress in question is made in China and that the website exists to sell off orders that their customers haven't called off. Could be wrong though! If it were a D&G dress, on the other hand...

(oh, and thanks very much for the earworm Grin )

Whenasuitcasejustwontdo · 29/01/2019 13:39

To be honest, I'm not sure if I trust that website I found. The sizes are different to the dorothy perkins website so something isn't quite matching up. Sorry to disappoint. However, if returns are easy enough it might be worth a shot?!

PeanuttyButter · 29/01/2019 13:44

I had a local dressmaker make mine. I had 3 bridesmaids all different heights and sizes and all concious of different parts of their body. O

PeanuttyButter · 29/01/2019 13:46

Sorry posted before finished...
She measured the girls I sent her pics of different dresses and made a dress essentially like frankinstein.
Told her the budget and she brought fabric samples that she would be able to use to get my dresses within budget.

HairsprayBabe · 29/01/2019 13:54

Love the HM one but out of stock in the sizes I need.

I wonder if I am better waiting till spring, as the green is a more springy colour?
