To start a positive thread about MM?

I really like her. I'm starting a positive thread about her, as I can't stand seeing her (or any celebs) torn apart for the most minuscule of things...

So what do we like about MM?

I think she's ace. I'm mixed race - the way she speaks so eloquently about growing up as a'biracial' woman speaks to me. She's so articulate. I also like how involved she is with the homeless community. My brother was homeless for a while and it was through charity and kindness that he found his feet.

Anyone else think she seems quite lovely?

I like her, never watched Suits so only became aware of her when her relationship with Harry became public knowledge.

I like the way she dresses and styles herself in general. She’s clever and switched on.

I think she may well have married Harry despite him being a Prince not because of it. She had her own life before him and was vocal in feminist causes, something which I imagine she continues to support but will have to do so quietly.

She’s fairly unique in Royal wives, in this country, for having had her down established career and life. I think that gets right up people’s noses.

@Justheretogiveaviewfrommyworld

1 In the engagement interview monologue she said she really didn't know anything about him or his family. Now, I could have believed this if she'd lived on the moon, rather than Canada or North America, one has the queen as a figurehead and the other one seems to wish it did.
She didn’t say she hadn’t heard of him but she’s unlikely to have known much about him as she’s an American and also busy career woman

2 In VF she said that her Dad made her into the secure biracial women she is by telling her to create her own identity, that he would come over and have dinner with her and her Mum, he bought 2 sets of Barbies to make her own family and so on. Yet that statement before the wedding made it sound like she'd never met him. There was also Harry's radio gaffe that first Xmas, where he said his family, were like the family she never had. I know he said it and not her, but it made me think she must have said something similar to him indoors to prompt him to say it public-ally
She also said her black mother raised her to be strong and independent plus said mother hasn’t made deals with paparazzi plus publicly criticised her
I can’t see why you have so much vitriol for someone you’ve never met Kate Middleton spends a similar amount of money on her clothes.
I have no idea if you’re racist but It’s obvious that your eaten up with jealously if you need to hijack a positive thread about her.

Many brits don't know much about other royal families either - you might have heard of names from Spain or Jordan, but you don't really know them. they think they know the Windsors without any base in that, but anyway

I understood her comment that way. I couldn't tell you how many children Mary of Denmark has!

I've just seen photos of her in a peach dress and jacket today. She looks absolutely stunning. Her makeup is beautiful.

JacquesHammer · 30/01/2019 13:49

But there are certain, racist, posters who always seem to find them

Is one the famed individual who made references to “blood princesses” Grin

I think MM is lovely. Educated, independent and very beautiful.

@Namastethefuckawayfromme
Yes about the poster who referred to “blood princesses”
@JacquesHammer
She seems to be laying low at present although she has form for frequently name changing😕

I feel sorry for Meghan regarding the flack and redicule she is getting over the banana message writing thing. She was so excited about it and really thought it was a good idea.

jessstan2 · 05/02/2019 19:03

Ooh, I've not heard of that. Am now going to google, 'banana message writing'.

Oh and I do like Meghan very much indeed. I like all the youngish royals really.

Just read about it. Seems harmless enough, well intentioned. Some people will take offence at anything.
