To wonder how much Mrs Hinch spends in the average day?

I'm on maternity leave now and have no life so I'm noticing all kinds of busybody things like the next door neighbours leaving their front door wide open all night and shit like that.

I've seen some of Mrs hinch on insta today.
Cleaning and motivational yada yadas alright if you don't mind the amount of chemicals & fumes but by god is most of it not just daily updates of "bought this" "swipe up for the link to these I bought"

I'm not cheap by any means but who buys so much crap each day, like her house isn't that big, and I'm sat wondering what she's done with all of last weeks storage boxes and shite because I have no life

Does she donate it all? Is it all gifted? Nobody can keep up with that much shopping for one household.

I'm on my own here aren't I? Grin

I’m done with this thread now - I’ve said everything I think I need to.

DSHathawayGivesMeFannyGallops · 24/01/2019 16:43

I'm in the SE. I have watched her videos for some ideas and tips before but honestly, if I'm going to be rude, her image is not what I aspire to- it's just not my taste or style although the love, care and pride in her home is evident. She's merely useful, much in the same way my mother has learnt a few tricks from her cleaner. I also couldn't listen her stories as after a bit they were repetitive and I found her voice grating, personally and the names for things annoyed me.

I think she could be more transparent about sponsorship as people do seem confused and I do think all the chemicals won't benefit her health in the long run.

grinchypants · 24/01/2019 16:48

Genuinely don't know how something could go so off point

GlitterStick · 24/01/2019 16:50

Come off it, how do you manage work or the school run challenging everybodies opinion on every little tiny thing

Have you noticed, if it really is all about the grave concern for the environment, I for one haven't been "challenging every little thing"? I've been agreeing that too many chemicals are bad for the environment just like everybody else has.
Plus, what's it to you how people spend their day? I'm a SAHM, so no school run or work for me right now. Not that it's anyone else's business or that I should have to justify myself.
Cannot stand any bitch bullying behaviour though, never have been able to. whether you want to see it or ignore it, it's there and nearly got the other thread pulled.

Raglansleeve · 24/01/2019 17:12

ladyoftheloch, I'm as working class as they come so no snobbishness/classism here, but I could weep at the 'hinch hauls' which her army are posting all over instagram. We are killing the planet and it is the next generation who will have to deal with it.

Buying a dozen bottles of Zoflora at once, using it neat to clean with (it's a disinfectant, not a cleaner), buying cupboards full of other cleaning products in single use plastic bottles is just so unnecessary. She put herself on social media, so she obviously wants the attention - if she didn't, she'd just merrily continue using her minky Grin and Zofloraing everything in sight, but not be telling the world about it.

NameChanger22 · 24/01/2019 17:20

I will not accept anyone pretending they can’t see the sneering classism and snobbery in these posts. And I firmly believe that if you don’t challenge prejudice where you see it, you are complicit in it.

Its not classism or snobbery to dislike someone else's style or lifestyle. Neither is it snobby to wonder how someone without style or talent did so well? There is no prejudice here. I'm a single mum on a low income living in a cheap area. Your theory is wrong.

GlitterStick · 24/01/2019 17:36

There is no prejudice here

Lol, anyone else just read that in a League of Gentleman type voice? Just me? Oh Grin

NameChanger22 · 24/01/2019 17:46

Yeah, just you.

LadyDeadpool · 24/01/2019 17:51

Glitterstick is Mrs Hinchs biggest fan you're not allowed to say anything bad about her around them. Even before they name changed they were a little obsessive about her.

abbsisspartacus · 24/01/2019 17:52

Well I've never seen her and gosh this thread escalated quickly

GlitterStick · 24/01/2019 18:20

When I have said can't say anything bad about her? It's all about the environment concerns, right? That's fair enough.
Not liking personal attacks against a real life person who has said they suffer from anxiety and have seen the constant character assassination from her looks, to how she does or doesn't look after her dog etc..... if you are OK then fine.

NotANotMan · 24/01/2019 18:34

I've only just heard of Mrs hinch recently and never read another mumsnet thread about her so I've seen nothing classist although I completely agree that she will be drawing that kind of negative attention.
I don't like her grey decor but the rest is just her style. I don't judge her for that. I like her!

RtIock · 24/01/2019 18:44

A lot of it now is probably free. She's sponsored by lots of companies to promote their priducts.

With all these lifestyle influencer type businesses the line between advert and content is so blurred not helped by the fact that lots of them don't mark adverts correctly.
I have a problem with all of them from zoella to Mrs hinch to Jake Paul, their content is thinly disguised adverts selling either their own products or someone else's relentlessly and theyre far less regulated then any other forms of advertising and just promoting this buy buy buy and unsustainable lifestyle you don't need 20 minky cloths or 50 zofloras, but thats their whole business, throwing a shit tonne of ads at you before they fall off and become irrelevant.

finks100 · 24/01/2019 18:50

There is a huge Zoflora advert in her stories today, she hasn't marked it AD, she has been warned by the advertising standards people to make sure adverts are marked as such. It is stealth advertising and the ASA are clamping down on it!

To anyone who is dim enough to think that people who clean are thick well that's balls-
I'm clever as fuck and I'm a fantastic cleaner. I am actually good at it, rather than just throwing some zoflo down the sink I actually use it as it's intended and have immense pride in my grey home.

Enough already of the fake concern. She is not naive enough to think that she is everyone's cup of tea but she's clearly doing something right.

I don't use SM so don't follow her but know who she is etc etc. She has been very clever and will likely make a fortune.
Good on her! The real reason I googled her in the first place was that I thought she had a weird surname, didn't realise it was Hinchcliffe Grin

tryinganewname · 24/01/2019 19:24

Let's face it, they clearly had and made plenty of money before she became 'Mrs Hinch' couples of their age wouldn't be able to afford the house they have in the area they live without it. Her husband works in London so probably has a decent job. She probably didn't do too badly either as a hairdresser in that area, she will have been able to charge quite a lot.

Who cares if there's a 'big company' behind her - if it's paying the wages, more fool the rest of us for not finding out about it ourselves.

She's very open about her demons and anxiety, I imagine reading threads like this really make her upset. You might say it comes with the territory but as I'll say again and again, it's women just tearing each other down. The women of Mumsnet want more respect from men, we can't even respect each other.

PepsiLola · 24/01/2019 19:52

I don't think she buys much tbh, like b&m etc pay her to film in their store...

So her little hauls 4 times a week are probably picking her up a hefty wage packet.

I like her, and watch her vids... good on her earning money for doing very little! I'm jealous of that.

She can come clean my falling apart old house instead of a new build, might actually give her some not repetitive content!

I do think tho, she must have major shit explosions for the amount she has to scrub that loo 😂😂😂

abbeydo · 24/01/2019 20:11

Urgh so many people using 'gifted' Confused

It's 'given'!

SweatyUnderboob · 24/01/2019 21:18

She has been to Tiger today, the emporium of useless, passable tat!

A few weeks ago, she had some promo stuff through from Zoflora, which allowed her to pick her own scent, and there were some login details to a special website where you could vote for the scent you wanted. It was so obvious when she kept showing the login details accidentally that they wanted the followers to log in and vote.

XmasPostmanBos · 24/01/2019 21:40

Mrs Hinch I like to think you are on here making snide comments about yourself for a laugh.
You will then head off to flame the trolls for their grammar and swing by relationships to tell some hapless woman to LTB.

PookieDo · 24/01/2019 21:45

I’ve been watching her for 2 days now!

Now I am not about to buy any zoflora because it stinks. But I do like some of her other tips. Sorry I can’t help it 😂
I’m not going to go and buy a battery bin or lashes either but I liked the cutlery tray she got today and some of how she arranges her cleaning things will Work for me. I’m hoping to move so having a massive clear out so has given me some inspiration as to how to organise things!

PookieDo · 24/01/2019 21:49

I find the Make up influencers all really annoying. They do it too quickly and talk too much and I am no better at any of the bloody make up than I was before. I watched one of DD’s ones which was 2 guys and I am literally none the wiser as to any of what it was or what it does
At least Mrs Hinch appeals to my level of intellect Grin

NotANotMan · 24/01/2019 21:54

Well I was inspired today and instead of doing a normal vacuum and basic dust of the living room I wiped skirtings and windows and even removed the cobwebs from behind the door that I never actually see! So thanks Mrs Hinch. Obviously I didn't drench the place in zoflora but it made me think about the random bits of the house that don't get cleaned because you don't usually notice them.

PookieDo · 24/01/2019 21:55

I cleared out under my bed. It’s possible that dust was the cause of my asthma Blush
