Just a daft one really,

Anybody else that just cannot stand carpets? The first job I did in my new home was get rid!

I know ONE woman who has laminate throughout, and she still insists people remove their shoes before coming into the house.

so what? It's the same reasoning behind, if you are a shoes-off house, it applies in every room surely!

My house has no carpet, and looks perfectly clean, welcoming and warm. If you spill a glass of red wine, there will be no drama either. Smile

Only have carpets on my stairs. The rest of the house consists of marble and wooden floors
I just think that carpets are unhygienic

Carpet is lovely. Except in kitchen or bathrooms.

Go barefoot in a house with wooden floors throughout and your feet pick up loads of bits, or you get filthy socks. Sad

I hate slippers though.

I'm not massively keen on carpets. In other people's houses, if they're plush and clean - I like them. In my own, where nobody ever takes their shoes off no matter how much I scream and shout they are vile tatty things. I can't wait to get rid of them all. A few nice rugs here and there on a polished floor will be lovely.

I don't like them apart from on stairs
