My DH used to make me mixtapes and one song was The Miles away girl - I used to listen to it over and over on my Walkman while travelling to work in the 90's.

Now he makes me playlists on Spotify .

Well with us DH heard it on the radio before we were married and basically said, I heard a song on the radio and it made me think of you. Played me the song and both had childhood stories about it. And its just so us.
But as far as I understand for most people its a song that was popular during their early stages.

Have I Told You Lately by Van Morrison. Dh likes to sing it to me.

Common People by Pulp. First song I remember dancing to with DP. I knew then he was the one for me. Even though we were disgustingly drunk and banging into everyone on the dance floor.

I want it as our first dance but it’s weve settled on another more suitable song. Common People will be the last song of the night though.

It's only because bot long after we met it came on the radio and we both see if at the same time that we loved that song. He always puts in on when we are I the car together now 😂

When we got together, I had just purchased George Ezra's album with Paradise on it. It's absolutely entirely not my partner's thing, we are both heavily alternative. But if I get an earworm, I get an earworm. And basically, it seemed to mirror how I feel about him, with the level of mad enthusiasm I feel it.

If we had an actual song together, I think he would argue it was Be My Friend by One Eyed Doll. Perhaps. I'll ask him when he gets in if he associates a particular song with us. It's the first time I've been with someone and not had a song, as such.

When you say nothing at all by Roman Keating. It was randomly dubbed onto our wedding video, and fitted perfectly, so we adopted it as “our” song.

OH and I have no ‘song’. We met working in a bar and I guess any of the hits from 2009 would fit and remind us of that time.

Our first dance is Oasis, Songbird. So maybe that if we had to choose!

Lynyrd Skynyrd Freebird. First time we danced together at the the uni bop. Had a snog. Went back to halls and stayed up all night. Got married and had kids. 33 years later still going strong. Still love the song.
