Iltavilli · 19/01/2019 12:59

Rammstein - Du Hast

RedHatsDoNotSuitMe · 19/01/2019 13:00

Sowing the Seeds of Love

We didn't have a 'first dance' at our wedding, but we do have an "our song".

Iputthescrewinthetuna · 19/01/2019 13:02

@Drogosnextwife Iris - Goo goo dolls is ours too!

Gobolino80 · 19/01/2019 13:02

Red Eyes - War on Drugs. Not in the least bit romantic, but reminds me of my most favourite of times when we spend a Saturday evening getting gently sozzled, listening to music and he always scoops me and dances with me to this one.

Katedotness1963 · 19/01/2019 13:04

Wonderful Tonight by Eric Clapton.

MyBreadIsEggy · 19/01/2019 13:07

We have 2:

  • Joshua Radin, “You got what I need” - it came on my iPod just as my DH walked through the door from a 6 month deployment in Afghanistan. Was like a proper movie moment Grin
  • The Fray, “Never Say Never” - DH and I were dating, we had just dtd and were laying in bed in that post-coital haze with this song in the background. Out of the blue and without thinking, I started to say “I lov....” and stopped myself. He kissed me on the head and said “I know. Me too” Grin

There is a light that never goes out by The Smiths
Had an almost teary moment holding hands and singing ' to die by your side is a heavenly way to die....the pleasure, the privilege is mine' to each other at the Symths recently 😄

AwkwardSquad · 19/01/2019 13:17

We don’t have one, but the album that takes me straight back to when we first met, and lying on his mattress in his tiny attic bedroom.... ‘Introducing the Hardline According to Terence Trent D’Arby’. We played it over and over again.

MissDai5y · 19/01/2019 13:17

Honeybee by steam powered giraffe

Always makes us think of each other.

southnownorth · 19/01/2019 13:18

We don't have a song Sad

endoflevelbaddy · 19/01/2019 13:31

Everlong by Foo Fighters. Been our song since we got together

bourbonbiccy · 19/01/2019 13:53

Never stop by the brand new heavies. We love music.

Some great tunes in the list that we had forgotten that bring back great memories

DramaAlpaca · 19/01/2019 13:56

Fairytale of New York. We got together after a Pogues gig Grin

Ronnyhotdog · 19/01/2019 14:21

We don’t have a song and we didn’t do the first dance thing but I like to think Two of Us by the Beatles suits us perfectly. I drunkenly told husband recently, he called me a massive sap.

WhyDontYouComeOnOver · 19/01/2019 14:31

Enlightening - I had no idea that every couple didn't have at least one "song". It seems alien to me as music has been a big part of every relationship I've been in.

Our song is Starlight by Muse, but we have a whole playlist of songs, each with different memories attached. We didn't have a first dance though. Bleh.

Knittedfairies · 19/01/2019 14:41

Knittedfairies do you not listen to music?
I do, just not the same music as my husband.

rollonoctober · 19/01/2019 14:46

We don't have a song, we have an album! Moon Safari by Air.

gentlyscented · 19/01/2019 14:51

It doesn't have to be anything you both like. Maybe just a song that was big at the time you got together and now when you hear it it brings back those butterfly feelings that you had when you feel in love with them 🙄 jheez some right misery's on here.

When I hear Beyoncé's love on top it makes me feel happy, and I remember all the butterfly's I had in my belly getting ready to go on dates with my husband. It had just come and I played it all the time. It's not "our" song it's just a song that brings me back to those times ☺️

I Touch Myself by the Divinyls.

RagingWhoreBag · 19/01/2019 15:04

I have a load of songs on a Spotify album that played in the bar the night we first met, which all mean something to me, but he probably doesn’t remember them!

Also songs which have cropped up over the years eg in films we saw together or on holiday trying on clothes and he asked for a mirror - the guy in the shop said “she’s your mirror”, meaning I could tell him if he looked nice. So now Mirrors by Justin Timberlake reminds me of DP, but he’s oblivious to it!

For us both though, Kiss Me by Ed Sheeran, as it was playing on TV one night early in out relationship while we were smooching on the sofa and he reckons that’s when he fell in love with me.

YourDaughter · 19/01/2019 15:12

John Legend, Ordinary People, but we decided it was a bit too gloomy for a wedding, so had Let there be love by Nat King Cole

AnaVanda · 19/01/2019 15:36

Two of Us by the Beatles

SauvingnonBlanketyBlanc · 19/01/2019 15:41

Our song is "just give me a reason" by Pink but our wedding first dance was "Amazed" by Loanstar so both are special

MrsPworkingmummy · 19/01/2019 15:43

We have soooo many that link to different stages of our relationship. These include The More I See You by Chet Baker, and Everlong by The Foo Fighters.
