People expecting me to travel thousands of miles to attend their destination wedding.

People putting their name on waiting lists for designer handbags that cost thousands of pounds.

Pamper parties for 9 year olds.

Any other grumpy old ladies like to list the modern day nonsense they can live without?

Oh and Gwyneth Paltrow and all the shit she peddles. Of course those jade eggs to shove up my vag will solve all the problems in the world you smug twat

captainpantbeard · 17/01/2019 16:51

People who refer to pet owners as ‘care providers’ for fucking fuck’s sake

Snugglepiggy · 17/01/2019 16:54

Dog owner but really dislike the whole 'fur baby',designer jumpers for dogs, dog pedicure and pampering etc mentality.
I love my dogs but they don't go 'over a rainbow bridge'.They die and as a family we grieve and miss them.
They are trained, have excellent recall and I pick up poo. They are walked in woods popular with other dog walkers, nowhere near parks or play areas.
Therefore I object to the people who 'hate' dogs who in same woods -don't acknowledge me or say thank you when I call my dogs to the side and make them sit whilst they walk past.Or worse still hit out at them with a stick .Or as in the case of a runner who suddenly vaulted over a stile ,and appeared from nowhere ,kick out at them. Both have happened recently.Disgusting.
And yes to the constant munching and slurping through a film.
People who speed up to swoop past parked cars on a narrow road when it's not their right of way and don't even make eye contact or say thank you when I've been forced to slow down or stop.

fitgirl26 · 17/01/2019 18:02

Oh God yes - "lol" I have someone on my Facebook who uses it like punctuation and so do his friends and family. So he'll post "Having a cheeky drink lol" and then there will just be endless comments of "lol" and "lmao". Gives me the rage 😡

OVienna · 17/01/2019 18:08

Frothing over the Greggs vegan role - how did this become a news story???

Same with the Gillette ad angst- get angry and throw your razors away. As if anyone cares.

OVienna · 17/01/2019 18:09

"Roll" even

greenpop21 · 17/01/2019 19:32

Starting the answer to every question with "So, ......."

Gives me the RAGE!!!

Woolyheads · 17/01/2019 21:22

Sexuality and gender being a thing.

YeOldeNameChange · 17/01/2019 21:26

Yes to a PP

The way we have been kind of gaslighted into thinking the Kardashians’ bums are real
My nieces thought they were real. It’s obv fat transfers and it looks hideous

I hate this fake bum trend.

YeOldeNameChange · 17/01/2019 21:27

Never want to hear the word gender in 2019. Can it please be finished?

Itslookinglikeabeautifulday · 17/01/2019 22:44

Oh....a few more inspired by today’s commute on the train:

People who sniff incessantly. Get a ruddy tissue for goodness sake!

People who put their shoe-clad feet up on the train seat opposite them. Nice. I’m sure you do that at home (not).

And people who talk really loudly for flipping EVER on their phone disturbing everyone else. Do you really have to conduct a 30-minute “meeting” over the phone while on board a busy train? Can’t it wait? (Great fun when we reach all the tunnels though and the phone keeps cutting out....)

13thWarriorWitch · 17/01/2019 23:17

Being told I'm "cis" by some woke halfwit.
NO I'M BLOODY NOT! IT'S NOT A REAL THING. Angry

Idiots who leave their dogs outside to bark 24/7. Why exactly did you get a dog if you don't want it?

Selfish wankers who play the radio outside so loud I can hear it in my house with the doors and windows closed. Just stop it!

Social media
Other people.
Other people on social media. Grin

Mymomsbetterthanyomom · 17/01/2019 23:26

Girl,I'm about 1 step from screaming "Get off my lawn"!!!It's not just you I'm 38,I can't imagine how grumpy I'll be in 20 years🤣

arranbubonicplague · 17/01/2019 23:41

Sod the fact I spent 5 years in Medical School and 20 odd years as a doctor.

How can you possibly bring yourself to disrespect the People's Medical Journal (aka Daily Mail Health Pages)?

delboysskinandblister · 17/01/2019 23:44

@Pukettleonlove

Grin Grin You've got the job!

expat101 · 18/01/2019 01:04

The over indulged neighbouring adult son who thinks screaming (yes I do mean screaming) into a microphone with amps up is music.

Breakawaygirl · 18/01/2019 09:02

Oh my gosh, I had to completely stop hanging out with a certain friendship group who began using 'woke, cis, and privileged white male' in everyday conversation. It was like talking to a tumblr post with no critical thinking. I literally found myself getting a stress headache when they talked. It must be exhausting to be so upset/offended by everything all the time. The irony is they are all doing very well in their life's (married, good careers, good money.)

OneStepMoreFun · 18/01/2019 10:13

DS1 started using 'cis' all the chuffing time about a year ago. I quietly challenged him two or three times. It finally stopped.

Bloomcounty · 18/01/2019 10:40

People. I just hate people. Apart from you grumpy bitches. You, I LOVE.

vikkiangelic · 18/01/2019 10:51

The term 'on trend' and anything that comes under this banner!

People thinking that if it's not gender neutral then it's forcing gender stereotypes... The new tesco shopping trollies come to mind... How do you gender neutralise a fucking stick person! Someone is pushing the damn trolley and just because it looks like a woman it's not enforcing a steriotype-its just a trolley-get over it and yourself! There are more important things to care about!
Hypocracy when it comes to race-for example people being outraged that a white model was adorning the Black panther costume... Shock horror! If people of colour are now portraying characters that have been inherently white in the past why can't it work the other way round. Why is it assumed by some that a white man portraying a person of alternative ethnicity is being insulting in any way, when in reverse its progress?

Feeling the anger today!! 😡

Breakawaygirl · 18/01/2019 11:11

@vikki, agree with all your points. The constant banging on about cultural appropriation. People don't just wear native American head dresses at festivals, they wear Celtic symbol necklaces, lucky four leaf clovers, buy the lucky Japanese waving cat - it's nothing to be bloody offended by.

Breakawaygirl · 18/01/2019 11:11

Oh and people who get upset when people wear braids because that's cultural appropriation, wtf? My mum used to braid my hair as a child - anyone who'd be offended would be told sharply to fuck off, not apologised to!

BorisBogtrotter · 18/01/2019 11:16

"£Oh and people who get upset when people wear braids because that's cultural appropriation, wtf? "

I don't think that's the issue.

loolooskip · 18/01/2019 11:18

@Breakawaygirl but native Americans mostly ARE deeply offended. You don't get to tell people who are offended that they shouldn't be.

loolooskip · 18/01/2019 11:21

"I’m of the Taíno nation from the Dominican Republic and every time I see a Native costume, it makes me feel disrespected and devalued. Native peoples have suffered through centuries of colonialism, capitalist exploitation, erasure, and condemnation — to then be romanticized and whitewashed in mainstream Western culture adds insult to enduring injury. Though appropriators often justify their costumes by saying that it’s meant to be lighthearted, they must realize intention isn't impact — and the impact is the perpetuation of harmful stereotypes about Native people that are rooted in colonial and western tropes."
