People expecting me to travel thousands of miles to attend their destination wedding.

People putting their name on waiting lists for designer handbags that cost thousands of pounds.

Pamper parties for 9 year olds.

Any other grumpy old ladies like to list the modern day nonsense they can live without?

What's been said about Blue Badge holders now? Cba going back through 32 pages.

CatRen · 17/01/2019 11:24

fleetsum EXACTLY. I'm also pleased that someone understood my garbled explanation!

Ohh another one. People who announce they're off to take a dump. It's hideous.

pinkstripeycat · 17/01/2019 11:28

People who don’t know the rules of the road or those who dont think they apply to them. Texting or using your phone whilst driving IS illegal even if you are in slow moving traffic! Speeding

gogogoforit · 17/01/2019 11:30

Jorol I think you misunderstood my post. I was talking about parents who think P&C spaces are as important and legally binding as spaces for disabled people.

Sorry whydon'tyou your nose will have to stop twitching angrily for the moment. Nothing to see here.

Bloomcounty · 17/01/2019 11:31

Drink drivers, drug drivers.....if you want to die, kill yourself but take anyone else with you and I sincerely hope that hell does actually exist and you burn and burn and burn..

Driving whilst using a phone. My friend was killed by one of those bitches. The car immediately in front of her overtook him (he was cycling) and she somehow didn't notice that this manoeuvre had happened and drove straight through him, killing him instantly. She was texting at the time. I want her to die in jail.

parishmeeting · 17/01/2019 11:32

Parents who teach their children to put themselves and their own needs first at all times.
No, you are not teaching them to have confidence and healthy self esteem. You are teaching them to be rude and inconsiderate brats.

loolooskip · 17/01/2019 11:32

@gogogoforit I wouldn't worry. @WhyDontYouComeOnOver is on other threads causing arguments at the moment.

She appears to like to rile people. I'd ignore if I were you.

Schmoobarb · 17/01/2019 11:34

bloom that’s awful. Did that happen in Scotland quite recently? The same happened a few months ago just along the road from me :(

parishmeeting · 17/01/2019 11:35

That's awful Bloom. A car drove through a red light yesterday as I was about to turn right because I had the green arrow. When I drew up beside it at another set of traffic lights the driver was busy chatting on her phone.

So if you drive a Louth reg car, have blonde hair and were in the Rathfarnham area of Dublin yesterday at about 5 o'clock you are an irresponsible little shit.

WhyDontYouComeOnOver · 17/01/2019 11:35

Oh, looloo. Is that because I called you out on your nasty, bullying behaviour? I think it's you that likes to rile people Smile

My apologies, gogo. From what someone said above it sounded like you were saying that BB holders couldn't use P&C spaces, which does indeed make me angry. No nose twitching though - perhaps an eyebrow raise.

loolooskip · 17/01/2019 11:51

@WhyDontYouComeOnOver I've said nothing other than I hate the amount of chemicals she uses and that it's not responsible. People are allowed to have different opinions.

You just seem spoiling for a fight across many threads.

WhyDontYouComeOnOver · 17/01/2019 12:07

We both know that's not everything you've said.

Do I? I'm currently on a thread about dog food (someone is giving bad advice and I used to be a dog behaviourist/nutritionist and have a wealth of experience in the topic, so I'm trying to give actual advice), a thread about PIP (again, personal experience, not spoiling for a fight in any way, just discussing things) and the thread about Mrs Hinch, where I've said how awful it is that people are slating a stranger on the internet for her looks, her likes and her Instagram feed. I don't see a problem with any of those things.

It seems as though you are the one spoiling for a fight, particularly in your defence of a page that specifically exists to post nasty comments about others and now in your comments about me.

If that's what makes you happy, so be it. I won't be engaging with you.

Bloomcounty · 17/01/2019 12:12

Schmoobarb Yes to it being in Scotland, but it was quite a number of years ago now. I think she should have been charged with murder - if you use a phone to text and drive, any collision is not an "accident" in my eyes. It's a deliberate act, using your phone whilst driving. Unfortunately the majority I still see doing this on the roads are women. Young women. With kids in their cars. I am sick and tired of seeing stupid cunts with phones on their hands on the motorway round here.

Bloomcounty · 17/01/2019 12:13

parishmeeting that must have been a real heart-stopper. She didn't even notice, did she?

parishmeeting · 17/01/2019 12:19

Nope Bloom. Didn't even look guiltily at me when I drew up beside her. Quite happy chatting on her phone. Then started gathering up some papers around her and didn't notice she had the green light. A real danger on the road, but completely oblivious to it.

petmad · 17/01/2019 12:32

me too i agree with ginyogarepeat
plus i dont agree with paegents fake this fake that crap let little girls be little girls

Schmoobarb · 17/01/2019 12:32

That’s terrible Bloom and how awful it’s still going on. The girl in the one that happened near me was only 18. Appalling. So senseless.

TheSandman · 17/01/2019 12:40

A variant of the mobile phone use while driving that I have seen around here (Highlands of Scotland) is people (tourists obviously) using their mobile phones to take photos - while driving.

Seriously: arm out of the open window, looking sideways, taking pictures of the scenery while steering with one hand down some of the most stupidly dangerous roads in Europe.

Worldweary · 17/01/2019 12:40

Dropping the 't' in speech, to the extent of glottal strangulation.

Communi - y, Bri-ain, Men-al Ealth

(unless you are a Geordie, then it's permissible).

WhyDontYouComeOnOver · 17/01/2019 12:53

Yes TheSandman.

Another one is filming while you're driving. I'm not sure if anyone has said this already, but I have Snapchat and if you zoom out on the photo screen, you find yourself in a world map. You can then go to other countries and click on the public snaps that are available. This is actually really fun - I often visit different places in the world and have a look at what people are up to. It's a nice way to spend half an hour and a really personal way of seeing the world.

Anyway, what's shocking is the amount of people locally who are filming themselves on Snapchat as they drive along. It's definitely drivers doing this, mostly at night. Very frightening.

IrmaFayLear · 17/01/2019 12:53

Yes, saw a person on BBC News channel last night (or night before) from Labour think tank who didn't use a single t in the middle of a word. It was excrutiating . It wasn't an accent, just laziness.

Fashionista101 · 17/01/2019 13:12

Feminists and vegans 🙄😴 people who preach in general.

Lweji · 17/01/2019 13:17

Feminism is nonsense? Hmm

morningconstitutional2017 · 17/01/2019 13:18

Waiting outside a shop for the latest trainers to become available.

Ditto new mobile phones.

Any fashion item which is POA - WTF?

JoroL · 17/01/2019 13:18

@gogogoforit yes I did misunderstand.
My apologises.
