Aibu to wonder how the hell this is legal? It's PUBLIC transport and surely you need to be properly dressed for it.

Yuck

That would make me feel uncomfortable and disgusted, I don't understand any of you who think that's ok to do that.

777magic · 16/01/2019 19:25

And of course, I forgot to add, it is a great example of the sheep following the sheep, and anyone doesn't like it, will also be policed by the sheep. Sigh. People are so dumb.

Evennow · 16/01/2019 19:26

No I wouldn't. My legs look bad enough when clothed.

NicolaStart · 16/01/2019 22:14

LOL 777magic , I wouldn’t dream of going on the tube in my pants but I see no reason why others shouldn’t, as a one off thing.

I looked at the Facebook page of the organisers. They tell people to act deadpan and exactly how they would normally be in tne tube, read the paper, listen to music, play on phone, doze etc.

And they specifically say no thongs, no indecency and suggest briefs under boxers etc.

LonelyAmongUs · 16/01/2019 22:35

Bunch of fucking poseurs, bet the smell of crotch rot in the carriage is just SO appealing.

MiniMum97 · 16/01/2019 22:41

Brilliant! Love it! Well done to those that joined in!

overnightangel · 16/01/2019 22:52

People in London being “notice me” pricks shocker. Idiots

overnightangel · 16/01/2019 22:53

Attention seeking at its worst

chipsandgin · 16/01/2019 23:27

Love it & would totally have taken part in the days where my legs were acceptable to be seen in public.

The world is a in a terrifying place right now & a few young people having a laugh doing that with a group of friends on a Sunday lunchtime is the last thing anyone needs to get worked up about.

They aren’t hurting a soul, they are laughing, happy, clearly in mixed sex friendship groups (no idea where the ‘its mostly men/making women uncomfortable ffs 🙄!) & they all look relaxed in their own skin, brilliant, good on them. A bit more of that kind of thing and a bit less judgement, intolerance & baseless, misdirected anger from everyone would make London a better place for all of us....a vote for less judgypants & more just pants on the tube days from me..

PregnantSea · 17/01/2019 00:18

I don't think it's a big deal. And I think when it's a large group of people doing it for a laugh it shouldn't make you uncomfortable, that's a bit over the top.

I wouldn't do it myself though, I'd hate pictures of me in my undies on social media

Lovemusic33 · 17/01/2019 08:06

OP, why would you find it uncomfortable? I would rather sit next to someone wearing just their underwear than a drunk person on the tube (and many other people). I go swimming every morning and I am surrounded by middle age men in speedos, should I feel threatened?

Why is a person wearying just their underwear any less threatening than a man fully suited and booted? From past expereances most sexual assaults have been from upper class men who are fully dressed (I have worked in some high class establishments and have had my bum grabbed and people lay their hands on me, all have been fully clothed).

It’s just a bit of fun as is the naked bike ride. We all have bodies, I’m not sure why people are so offended by them.

LordProfFekkoThePenguinPhD · 17/01/2019 08:10

I’d hate to have my bum cheeks on the fabric.

Quickerthanavicar · 17/01/2019 08:21

My goodness. If you feel intimidated surely you get off the train and get on the next one, as you would do if you are generally feeling uncomfortable. Five minutes delay at most.
Are hundreds of people doing this. No!
Are men doing this in someway to reduce women. No!
Are women doing this. Yes.
Is it illegal. No!
Do most of those with a problem with this live in London. I doubt it.
Good grief!

Ohgoon · 17/01/2019 08:21

Not one no trousers commuter I saw was in any way rude or provocative. Harmless fun. You see more skin at a beach or in the gym!

KissingInTheRain · 17/01/2019 08:35

FFS, the number of skin-fearing hellfire Baptists on MN is amazing.

morningconstitutional2017 · 17/01/2019 13:25

Ridiculous. But then I despair of the human race sometimes. Just another 'look at me' type of behaviour. Why the middle of winter? I could understand it perhaps in the summer.

starzig · 17/01/2019 14:04

How do you feel about swimming baths OP? I hear the men even go topless.

Lovemusic33 · 17/01/2019 14:53

What about beaches, do you go to the beach OP? There are usually topless men in speedos and sometimes people getting dressed Shock

Bookfour · 20/01/2019 12:28

I don't think anyone should be offended by this, but wouldn't do it myself

LordProfFekkoThePenguinPhD · 20/01/2019 15:39

Really not offended in the least - but I’ve seen bugs running over tube seats 😳

ForalltheSaints · 20/01/2019 15:53

If being properly dressed was a requirement to be on the tube, that would mean about 20% of people being excluded.

It's a tacky event.
