Aibu to wonder how the hell this is legal? It's PUBLIC transport and surely you need to be properly dressed for it.

People on mumsnet will make an uproar about literally anything.

Did you read the thread? Most people on the thread think it’s fine.

NaughtToThreeSadOnions · 15/01/2019 13:03

You are however the one getting woeked up about a load of strangers doing nothing wrong on the tube and suggesting it should ve illegal op

And making untrue cimmenta like yeah mostly men

appless · 15/01/2019 13:04

I don't see how that contradicts with my statement.

Magicpaintbrush · 15/01/2019 13:13

WTAF??? I've seen it all now. I can't fathom why anybody would actively want to participate in that. But maybe that's because I'm all about the cellulite and and I don't own trendy superhero knickers.

Greenlightredlight · 15/01/2019 13:21

What's the point of it exactly?

If someone announces next year that it would be fun if everyone went to work in their underwear will a load of idiots join in?

appless · 15/01/2019 13:23

If someone announces next year that it would be fun if everyone went to work in their underwear will a load of idiots join in?

Well, if they genuinely find it fun, why not?

Or should people avoid doing such things for fear of strangers on the internet grumbling and insulting them?

NaughtToThreeSadOnions · 15/01/2019 13:55

What is the problem with people seeing otjer people might find different things fun to what you (those going wtaf/i disappeove /name calling) find fun

ChesterGreySideboard · 15/01/2019 14:40

Your statement was implying that Mumsnet posters in general will get their knickers in a knot over just about anything. The fact that most people on this thread seem to think it is fine shows that this is not something that people on Mumsnet are in uproar over.

SoupDragon · 15/01/2019 14:55

Fascinating

Not really.

appless · 15/01/2019 14:57

Yes, it was sarcasm.

SoupDragon · 15/01/2019 15:04

No shit, Sherlock.

appless · 15/01/2019 15:07

So why did you say not really then? How bizarre.

TheSubtleKnifeAndFork · 15/01/2019 19:26

sounds like you could do with something up you

Ooh, sorry OP, it seems I completely misjudged you - what did you have in mind? Wink Grin

LordProfFekkoThePenguinPhD · 15/01/2019 19:28

I wouldn’t want to put my nearly baked betters in a manky tube seat.

Anyway it’s still a million times better than the (shudder) annual naked bike ride (bleach my eyes). Right through central London, letting it all hang out. 🙈

LordProfFekkoThePenguinPhD · 15/01/2019 19:29

Baked betters? Naked nethers!

NicolaStart · 15/01/2019 20:38

“sounds like you could do with something up you.”

Now that’s offensive.

E20mom · 15/01/2019 20:54

It happens every year and it's not mainly men at all.

Roobub · 16/01/2019 06:42

A pointless excuse for exhibitionists to make an exhibition of themselves.

1forAll74 · 16/01/2019 14:33

Its all quite amusing, brightens up dull January, And what an assortment of legs there , never mind the underpants !! too cold for me though.

Anapurna · 16/01/2019 14:45

They must have been freezing. It’s January. Confused

Userplusnumbers · 16/01/2019 14:55

I've been following this since the OP posted, but have only now been able to ungrasp my pearls and type again.

I agree with the OP - people should be dressed appropriately for the tube, so to that end, I propose we start a new campaign to introduce a dress code for the tube. I'll accept nothing less than 14 layers. If you can make out the shape of a boob, or a bum cheek, you still need to add more layers.

TheNavigator · 16/01/2019 14:57

Just a bit of harmless fun, I am so glad I don't get all cats bum mouth at people enjoying themselves doing things different to me. OP, maybe you need a wee placard saying 'Down with this sort of thing' for whenever you suspect too much gaiety in the nation Grin

PigletJohn · 16/01/2019 17:25

When I moved to a seaside town and called in at Waitrose on the way home, I was a bit surprised to see people pushing trolleys in beachwear. I think the bars have some kind of dress code.

I probably don't care. Most people look fairly ordinary, clad or not.

NicolaStart · 16/01/2019 18:37

Userplus: in pursuit of decent standards and to set an example, shall we instigate a Black Tie on the Tube day? Evening Dress Evening?

NicolaStart · 16/01/2019 18:38

Tux on The Tube?
