Husband ate my supper.

It was my first day back at work today and my sons first day at nursery today. It's been a bit emotionally taxing and so I was looking forward to a relaxing Friday night treat of a glass of wine and a pizza in front of the TV with my DH. It took a while to nurse my baby son to sleep(after a big day), so after having lovely pizza-y aromas wafting up the stairs, I was pretty hungry. I arrived downstairs to find that my husband had already tucked in to the wine and pizza leaving only three small slices (one of those long gourmet pizza platter things). I was already a bit pissed off at the point. I literally only managed a slurp of wine and one slice of pizza before having to go up resettle my son. When I re-emerged downstairs, DH had scoffed the lot. Cupboards otherwise bare, not even toast. When challenged, I only got an 'ohh...sorry' and just went back to reading his paper. I'm so pissed off that I've gone to bed early on an empty stomach rather than sit in the same room as him.

Gosh I'd be annoyed, mine would have gone out to get me something straight away. Pity he's had wine. Order something nice to be delivered and let him know he's on baby duty. PS he should have been settling the baby if he had already eaten.

He was very selfish - you were very passive though no way would I have not said something

Morgan12 · 11/01/2019 21:31

Seriously. Why would he do this? He must know you also have to eat! I'd be fuming.

southnownorth · 11/01/2019 21:32

That's really nasty OP.

Get a takeaway.

LaBelleSausage · 11/01/2019 21:32

I honestly can’t believe anyone could be that much of a dick. Order a pizza. Eat it in bed.

IWantMyHatBack · 11/01/2019 21:32

No no no you should have let loose on him and made him go and buy you a takeaway. Get back downstairs and make the man feed you.

This. And then kick him in the bollix for good measure

^^
THIS!!!

What an absolute cunt.

RLOU30 · 11/01/2019 21:33

This isn’t even funny. What a selfish prick.

IWantMyHatBack · 11/01/2019 21:33

Feel like ordering you a pizza tbh

AnotherOneBitesTheDust · 11/01/2019 21:35

Set him on fire hahaha I second this. On a serious note though, incredibly thoughtless and selfish.

Dyingforchocolate · 11/01/2019 21:36

That honestly would have made me cry 🙈😂 you need to order a take away pizza, eat it in bed & don't let him have any! Hope your first day back & your sons first day at nursery went well (despite pizza gate)

Eatmycheese · 11/01/2019 21:37

Have you got a patio?

CatnissEverdene · 11/01/2019 21:37

What a charming man.

Not.

Creatureofthenight · 11/01/2019 21:37

That was incredibly thoughtless of him. But I don’t understand why you didn’t get him to go out for food, or order a takeaway, rather than go to bed hungry?

2018SoFarSoGreat · 11/01/2019 21:38

I'm afraid you've married an ass. That's a damned shame. Only you know what to do with that.

Going to bed hungry is pathetic, I'm sorry. You are inviting - nay, rewarding, his assness by letting him get away with it. Get back downstairs and tell him to get you dinner or get the hell elsewhere. And mean it. Not delivery, make him go out now and order, pay and bring it home, then serve it to you. With a pleasant manner.

Sorry. I'm ridiculously angry on your behalf. I'd have smacked him on the nose with his paper, like a dog. (would never really smack a dog, but you know what I mean)

yogafailure · 11/01/2019 21:38

I'd have chucked my empty wine glass at him, the selfish twat!

Get a takeaway ordered pronto Angry

adiposegirl2 · 11/01/2019 21:38

Nonsense!- His behaviour and your response.

Woman, I'm coming through my screen to get you out of bed to frog march you back to your front room where you will confront your husband on his pants behaviour.

He will be making dining arrangements for you tonight!

lostinjapan · 11/01/2019 21:39

YANBU to be annoyed. But why are you going to bed hungry? You have literally nothing else in the cupboards, fridge or freezer you can eat?

Dvg · 11/01/2019 21:39

You eats someones dinner :S hes okay with you starving?

Maelstrop · 11/01/2019 21:40

He is incredibly selfish. I'd have serious words and send him out for takeout. That's so nasty of him. 😡

M0reGinPlease · 11/01/2019 21:41

What a selfish bellend!

XmasPostmanBos · 11/01/2019 21:41

Order that Dominos OP you know it makes sense.

PositivelyPERF · 11/01/2019 21:41

Do you normally take yourself away from him, when he’s behaved like a selfish bastard? If so, it’s no wonder the cunt acts the way he does. He knows you’ll just back down. If finances are ok, I’d definitely order a takeaway.

GreatDuckCookery6211 · 11/01/2019 21:41

No wonder he behaves like the way he does if that's how you react!

Travisandthemonkey · 11/01/2019 21:42

People might joke at this.
But it is really selfish.
I mean I genuinely don’t know an adult who would do something like this.
