I mean, from Sansa's perspective it's "Danaerys Who?" - this white haired invader who's swanning in with her superior attitude and her dragons and her thousands of mouths to feed after spending her life sunning herself in the East whilst they were all suffering.

Yes! Especially because Danaerys' father, the Mad King, burned Sansa's grandfather to death and killed her uncle Brandon. I can't see Sansa being all sisterly to an arrogant upstart who gets all preachy about 'breaking the wheel' while demanding everyone bend the knee to her and thirsting after the Iron Throne.

My theories / hopes:

Jaime will kill Cersei in a desperate murder/suicide.

The fire dragons will burn Mad Eye Euron's fleet and kill the kraken that he raises (dying in the process).

The Night King kills Danaerys and is defeated in single combat with Jon, causing all the Wights (including the ice dragon Viserion) to die, Jon later dies of his injuries.

Sam and Gilly to rule the 8 Kingdoms (now including a new territory of Wildlingland) with little Sam.

Sansa and Tyrion to rule the North together based on mutual respect and a burgeoning love.

Arya and the Hound to ride around Westeros keeping the peace.

Lyanna Mormont to be the new Lord Commander of the Nights Watch.

I wonder if Sam will have to make the choice betwen becoming the youngest Archmaester ever, or Hand of the King. Whichever he chooses, with JS on the throne listening to him he could end up basically ruling the Kingdoms. I think he and JS would make a great leadership.

I desperately want Sansa back with Tyrion. I do feel like Tyrion and Dany were a lot less interesting last season.

What will happen to Jorah? All that unrequited love!

What are the timings between Sansa escaping from Ramsey and the last episode? Has anyone worked it out? I've not looked back, but I recall Sansa wearing cloaks etc last season when she was at Winterfell.

I want Sansa and Tyrion to get back together. She'll realise he is a good, humane, interesting man who killed his girlfriend and certainly one of the best the Seven Kingdoms have to offer, thus completing her growth into a powerful, competent woman. If she's pregnant, she'll do some juju to get rid of it which will also make her infertile. Then they will adopt Jon and Dany's orphaned daughter, who they will guide as heads of the two/three most powerful houses.

Lyanna Mormont - underused & underrated!

Ellaria Sand definitely deserves the death she got. She killed Cersei's daughter. As vile as Cersei is, I think that the love for her children is/was her only redeeming feature. Now they're all gone she's lost that last spark of humanity.

I don't disagree with you. She's no Arya.

She had that one big scene and I think everyone was looking for a new child star and northern stalwart to root for.

She's not that high profile in the books, so I can't see her having a big role in the endgame, though D&D will probably big her up in line with how popular she is.

I think Bran will be the night king too and the Starks are intrinsically linked to the Others.... sorry the White walkers, so it makes sense. He and the night king are both wargs, like a pp said with the Hodor episode it’s entirely possible. The night king has been trying for some time to ‘tap’ into Bran and had made progress (touching his arm in the dream) and wants his all knowing, all seeing powers - if he does fully warg into bran the white walkers will win.

Although I’ve always supported Dany’s Claim she is so self righteous now I don’t think she deserves the throne. Love Jon but he won’t sit on the Iron Throne I don’t think.

I hate Ayra in the show because she’s always been very whiny and grumpy and because she left the Hound for dead/didn’t see how he cared for her.

She’s much more likeable in the books.

Bran has to die then to stop that from happening. Wonder who he'll ask to do the deed? Jon? Arya?

I want Davos and Lyanna to be besties, he needs someone to replace Shireen.

Cersei and Jamie have to have a joint death that'll happen so unexpectedly it'll be a real "wtf!?" moment, sort of like a PP's suggestion of him grabbing her and jumping off the battlements. Remember when Tommen died? He stepped off camera and there was the sound of him putting his crown down then he stepped back into shot and straight out of the window. It was such a simple death but was one of the saddest and most shocking in the whole series.

Tommem made me saddest of any of the deaths I think.

I think tyrion might kill dany. Either as part of whatever he's promised cersei or to stop something awful.

She has got to be pregnant, wonder how much time this last series covers.
