I like Daenerys but I’m hoping for Jon Snow to get his happy ever after, and Arya too :)

I don’t think Ned was that thick.

If it had come out that Lyanna had gone willingly with Rhaegar, then it would have made Robert’s Rebellion utterly pointless in retrospect, and there would’ve been much further reaching consequences than just Robert Baratheon losing his love-life dignity.

Far easier to maintain the status quo for all concerned.

witchhazelblue · 14/01/2019 19:49

I'm sure in a previous episode - I forget when - Sansa is in the crypt, finds the feather has fallen and puts it back. I may have dreamt that though.

Yamayo · 14/01/2019 19:57

No, that did happen. Could it mean that Sansa will be the one to protect him?

IPromiseIWontBeNaughty · 14/01/2019 20:16

If your husband comes home with a son by someone else, you aren’t going to love that child are you?

EwItsAHooman · 14/01/2019 20:23

But based on the medieval-esque way of life, as a wife you'd have been expected to put up with it. Mouth shut, look the other way, that's what men do because they have needs and sometimes bastards are the result.

Very symbolic in the trailer too that they walk past their respective mothers to face their own fate together, an indication that they'll move away from the past and work together?

BartonHollow · 14/01/2019 20:24

So OMFG everyone on this thread I almost want to @ you all

I just watched another YouTube Video and it pointed out that the statues in the crypt at the end

ARE :

SANSA, ARYA AND JON

only Sansa and Arya have not aged

Jon is an old man

😱😱😱

SweetSummerchild · 14/01/2019 20:26

If your husband comes home with a son by someone else, you aren’t going to love that child are you?

I agree. Given the way that Sansa and Arya are traded off in marriage by their parents - Sansa to a boy whose father at the time thinks there’s ‘something wrong with him’ - with no hint of sentimentality or regret, should it come as any surprise that Cat is less than a loving parent to Jon.

Honeyroar · 14/01/2019 21:09

BartonHollow, I watched it again, you're right! His statue looks old. Although it was hard to say what Sansa's was.

I saw another trailer of Dany meeting Sansa with Jon too. Anyone seen that one?

BartonHollow · 14/01/2019 21:26

Yes that one was released during the Golden Globes, Sansa looks murderous, and Dany isn't fooled

sproutlove · 14/01/2019 21:43

Caitlin is talking about the 'motherless child' as Arya walks past and her and Jon mirror each other at the end. Could she be Jon's sister?

BartonHollow · 14/01/2019 21:56

No.

The main Stark kids Arya, Robb, Sansa, Bran And Rickon are all Ned/Cat's

Because he was proving he wouldn't stray again (not that he had anyway)

Jon's parents were both dead well before Arya's birth

She is his cousin

Arya is also motherless child. She is say 10 when Ned is killed and 11/12 when Cat died

All the quotes were about Jon intentionally.

EwItsAHooman · 14/01/2019 22:08

Very telling that Bran wasn't there.

NoAdventureNoTime · 14/01/2019 22:24

I think the hound will die protecting Sansa, but she will die too.

Arya will die alone in the snow, frozen.

Sam will die protecting Gilly, he did foreshadow this previously in passing conversation.

Tyrion will die probably side by side with Bron, he won't get his castle (all hands die sooner or later)

Cercie, will be killed by Arya saving an imprisioned Jon.

The Mountain will be killed by the white walkers and turned, the hound will kill him with fire as a nice little circle fulfilled.

Grey Worm will be killed protecting messandre, I think this will be the saddest death.

I'm not sure how Dany will die but she will along with her remaining dragons. Jorah maybe too late to save her or die protecting her.

Jamie, Yara, Brienne and Gendry will survive.

Jon and Danys baby will also survive.

sproutlove · 14/01/2019 22:32

There is a running theme throughout the show of Arya being someone else - first she's disguised as a boy, then no-one and a faceless man. I think there is something hidden about Arya that we don't know yet.

Trills · 14/01/2019 22:38

Everyone is talking about who will rule the country.

But how are they going to defeat the ice zombies?

EwItsAHooman · 14/01/2019 22:39

They're going to go to the Winchester, have a pint, and wait for this whole thing to blow over.

Obvs.

UsedtobeFeckless · 14/01/2019 22:44

If we have to lose any more Starks l vote Arya under the bus. She annoys me. Self-rightious pain in the proverbials. Or Bran. He's just a flash-back generator at this stage and l blame him for Hodor dying - if he'd not been pratting around in the ether when the 3 eyed raven told him not to the Night King would never have found them all - and he was horrid to Thingy and her brother, they should have left him in the snow! Bah.

MyOtherProfile · 14/01/2019 22:45

I think the hound will die protecting Sansa, but she will die too.
Where's the sobbing emoji when you need it?

The Mountain will be killed by the white walkers and turned, the hound will kill him with fire as a nice little circle fulfilled.
This would be amazing, and so much better than Cleganebowl.

@EwItsAHooman well obvs!

Am I allowed to say something that isn't just my theory but is based on my research into who was where during the filming?

UsedtobeFeckless · 14/01/2019 22:45

ewlts GrinGrinGrin

BartonHollow · 14/01/2019 22:47

@Trills

Dragonglass and Valyrian Steel

And they have Sam to thank for it

EwItsAHooman · 14/01/2019 22:49

Sam is going to become a hero of legend which will be amazing considering his father's low opinion of him and the amount of shit he's received from various people in his life for being soft.

Am I allowed to say something that isn't just my theory but is based on my research into who was where during the filming?

Go for it. We're way beyond spoiler warnings by now.

Trills · 14/01/2019 22:49

And actual dragon fire I suppose.

But STILL there are a lot of those zombies and not a lot of obsidian or special swords.

Someone should have hung onto that dagger that nearly killed Bran all those years ago.

LaurieMarlow · 14/01/2019 22:52

Am I allowed to say something that isn't just my theory but is based on my research into who was where during the filming?

Please do Smile

NoAdventureNoTime · 14/01/2019 22:52

@MyOtherProfile yes, go ahead

EwItsAHooman · 14/01/2019 22:58

Who has valyrian steel at the moment?

  • Jon has Longclaw
  • Ned had one (Ice) and Tywin had it melted down into two. Jaime had one of the two and gave it to Brienne (Oathkeeper), Joffrey had the other (Widows Wail) and Jaime now has that one
  • one of the Dothraki has a valyrian steel weapon
  • the dagger used to try kill Bran
  • the sword Sam stole from his father's house last season

All of the rest have been lost, stolen, or are as yet unknown about. Five is not very many.
