So, I was chatting to a guy OLD a couple of weeks ago. I added him on Whatsapp. He then proceeded to ring me and not request, but DEMAND that I met him that day. He would not take no for an answer. He actually told me that he NEEDED to see me that day. That he didn't want someone who said 'maybe next week', he needed to see me that day, end of. I hung up and forgot about him (after a few missed calls).
Anyway, today, he rings again, and I didn't recognise the photo in time before I answered it.
Again, he insists, that we must meet up. I told him I couldn't. He demanded to know why. After some refusal I eventually told him that I've a very heavy period and feel like shit and you're a raving lunatic
He said 'we don't have to have sex'. I told him that I was in a lot of pain.
He then to proceeds to tell me about how he cured he exes friend's back pain 'and she was much worse than you' but didn't know what he was doing so ended up really sick himself. His friends were very concerned about him, so in the absence of any alternative, took him to a big tree and laid him there for 3 hours until he restored his strength.
Then, his next sentence was 'What have your read lately?'.

Have I entered a parallel insane universe or is this dude a complete and utter nutter!??

He sounds like a complete loon,OP. Avoid!

HollowTalk · 08/01/2019 16:54

Why didn't you just put the phone down? Why are you telling a complete stranger about your period?

userschmoozer · 08/01/2019 16:55

Stop talking to him, in his head it means you have a relationship.

GlassSuppers · 08/01/2019 16:55

Block block block.

Miane · 08/01/2019 16:56

Block him in every possible me way.

TakenForSlanted · 08/01/2019 16:57

Block him. He sounds utterly insane.

Sallygoroundthemoon · 08/01/2019 16:57

Loon. Delete and block right now.

Ithinkthatsenough · 08/01/2019 16:58

Why didn’t you just say no and block him after thr first call?!
He sounds nuts, avoid

BreakfastAtSquiffanys · 08/01/2019 17:00

Big Trees should be available on the NHS

Snoz · 08/01/2019 17:00

It's hard to describe how persistent this guy is in writing. Literally short of telling him I no longer had the use of my body, he was demanding I meet him. I thought the mention of a period would put him off. Hell no! He's blocked now (although I'm tempted to unblock just to see what other madness he comes out with). Don't worry, he doesn't know where I live! Probably find him sleeping in the tree outside, peering in my window!

Took him to a big tree and laid him there for three hour ....... Did the same to my friend's younger sister the first time she came with us to Glastonbury. After three hours she sobered up too

birdiewoof · 08/01/2019 17:05

I take it you haven’t been watching YOU 😬

Terribletweens · 08/01/2019 17:07

I quite fancy laying by a big tree for 3 hours, not for any medicinal properties but just the peace and quiet! He sounds bonkers, would definitely just steer clear.

Snoz · 08/01/2019 17:07

He's gotta be on drugs right? Interestingly he has a very refined British accent. The kind that private school pays for. He's Latin American.
I'm going to miss him now. Everybody could do with a bit of madness in their lives. Makes me feel positively sane.

Aww in his mind you are both getting married next week Grin

Which is why you block.

You don’t have to be polite to someone who makes you uncomfortable. You can just say, “I don’t want to go” and hang up and block.

He is clearly rude therefore there is no social contract.

Snoz · 08/01/2019 17:11

Must try to find his profile. I'll link to it, if I can find it.

Snoz · 08/01/2019 17:15

Found him. Is it bad taste to post someone's profile?

OP posts:
Snoz · 08/01/2019 17:16

His profile doesn't really give any indication of trees restoring health and such........ Profession is 'writer'. Hence wondering what I've read recently... desperately clutching for the sane straw

Snoz · 08/01/2019 17:21

I actually kind of feel sorry for him. Surely nobody will date him? Poor cunt. Although, there's someone out there for everyone as they say! I nearly fell off the chair laughing when he comes out with 'I'm a DJ and I had to cancel two gigs, so my friends were really concerned about me, so they bundled me into the car and drove me to a big tree and left me at the bottom of the tree for three hours'. WTF do you say to that? Grin

Isleepinahedgefund · 08/01/2019 17:22

I love how his friends knew to take him to the big tree so he could lie under it. I wonder if they are as mad as him?

LuckyLou7 · 08/01/2019 17:22

Don't link to his profile! That's really mean. Just forget about him and move on to the next.

Snoz · 08/01/2019 17:23

Well, what else would you do in the circumstances!! Everybody knows a big tree can restore all ills.

Ok, I won't link to his profile. I'm not a meanie.

Racecardriver · 08/01/2019 17:24

The tree thing made me laugh. I love how that is even a thing that someone would think.
