To take DD(5) swimming with a temp of 38.5?

Just that. She’s fine in herself, if a bit quiet, and says she wants to go.
The temperature is down from 39.5 with calpol.

I wouldn’t.

KylieJennersTopLip · 06/01/2019 09:56

I wouldn't take her either.

SerenDippitty · 06/01/2019 09:56

Neither would I.

AppleKatie · 06/01/2019 09:56

No absolutely not. Not fair on everyone else.

Harryo · 06/01/2019 09:56

No, don't be silly.

PurpleShepNeedsToGoToBed · 06/01/2019 09:56

I wouldn't

SoyDora · 06/01/2019 09:57

No

ScarlettDarling · 06/01/2019 09:57

Definitely not. A temp of 39.5 is really high, there's obviously something going on, I'd not be taking her swimming.

ShovingLeopard · 06/01/2019 09:57

No!! At a 39.5 temp before the calpol, she is properly ill, not just under the weather. It will not be good for her to expend the energy, she will almost certainly feel and be worse afterwards. Also, why would you want to spread her germs around like that for others to catch? Keep her at home.

Girlsnightin · 06/01/2019 09:57

No, she's I'll. Calpol has just made her feel better.

MatildaTheCat · 06/01/2019 09:58

What could possibly go wrong? Hmm

Don’t be silly.

Dothehappydance · 06/01/2019 09:58

No, she is probably harbouring something and swimming is not a great idea. Risk of passing it on, cold water, cold outside. She needs to be at home.

Littlechocola · 06/01/2019 09:58

No!

TheBabyAteMyBrain · 06/01/2019 09:59

Really?! Hmm

Of course you shouldn't.

adviceonthepox · 06/01/2019 09:59

No don't be ridiculous that's a high temp even after calpol. Just have a day in watching films and doing crafts.

CherryPavlova · 06/01/2019 10:00

No. It probably won’t hurt her particularly but vomit in a public pool is never pleasant. Why would you want to consider taking a poorly child swimming? Go for a walk to feed ducks instead.

nutellalove · 06/01/2019 10:00

No

WhoTookTheChristmasCookie · 06/01/2019 10:00

Not a good idea for a lot of reasons.
You've no idea what illness she's harbouring. It could be noro and then you risk infecting the whole pool.
Even if it's just a virus or cold, she's still not going to be feeling 100%.
Kids go back to school soon & parents to work, it really isn't fair on her or anyone else.

Let her stay at home a rest, poor thing will need it.

Lkbbdg · 06/01/2019 10:01

No, she's not well enough and needs to keep warm.

Kintan · 06/01/2019 10:01

I find it strange that you even have to ask this! 39.5 before calpol is very high so she is obviously isn’t ‘fine’ and to spread whatever she has to other people is so so selfish.

GiveMeAllTheGin8 · 06/01/2019 10:01

Are you actually serious?

ShadyLady53 · 06/01/2019 10:03

Oh for goodness sake - NO! Why on earth would you even consider it?!

TeenTimesTwo · 06/01/2019 10:03

No way!

DoingMyBest2010 · 06/01/2019 10:04

Nope

SauvignonBlanche · 06/01/2019 10:08

Err, no.
