I bought lingerie - a one piece lacy thing - and dp told me I was funny, not sexy, and needed to make it ‘more sexy’ and I felt weird about it.

I get that you are hurt, but it can be very specific what kind of clothes people find to be a turn on. Maybe you can get DP to go with you to buy lingerie? (and then he can blood well pay for it too.)
