A(nother) thread to ask for conclusions or links to threads. Post your worst. Grin

My one is the No Parking sign and the mini car with a Santa ornament in. No idea what it was called but if a tone knows pretty please link. It was very funny.

So what's your mystery thread?

OP posts:

I wanted to know the outcome of the lady who said she felt disgusted about her DSD being open about her periods and she thought it was wrong for DSD to be discussing ‘private bodily functions’ with her dad. One minute it was there then I clicked to the next page and it had gone!

Crunchymum · 01/01/2019 19:34

Woman and gardener got together and then she got pregant. She didn't realise until she was almost 2nd trimester. I only remember as she was due around same time I was. I'll have a one year old later this month

thats because it was a troll,..... there is no outcome

crummyusername · 01/01/2019 19:47

The riddle one - about climbing the stairs to the post office? Got to 1000 posts then it all stopped and I was never sure if there was an answer or not.

Sugarhunnyicedtea · 01/01/2019 19:52

The Boswell one? OP came back, said she'd worked it out and refused to tell anyone what the solution was despite having asked for solutions 😂

daffodillament · 01/01/2019 20:01

Wow re Softzilla. Was that the one where the woman in a playgroup was a bit of a stalker or something ? Must admit I thought it was all a bit bonkers sounding.. What about the recent one where a friend had cancelled a coffee date only to be spotted out having coffee with other people by the 'sacked off' friend ? The sacked off friend was posting all over social media and making a big thing of it..not sure if that was all bollocks either ! Hey ho..

Witchend · 01/01/2019 20:05

And sometimes a bit gullible

If you treat the long running sagas as you would fan fiction-load of badly written rubbish with a hint of the truth, they're quite entertaining.

Alternatively maybe we could have a private group where we put bets as to how long these a=ones are allowed to stand before they go off pop?

greenlanes · 01/01/2019 20:09

Noooo please tell me patioOp was not a troll? That was over 10 threads - 10, 000 posts. How did you find out it was not real. I saw the update much shorter thread.

Bringbackthestrioes · 01/01/2019 20:13

Can anyone help with the gift one? It was a box of chocolates but the giver hadn’t wrapped a box of chocs and neither the recipient or giver could work out what had happened.

Readysteadygoat · 01/01/2019 20:14

I'd like to know how the OP who gave birth on Christmas eve is getting on. And maybe how she ended up giving birth at home.
I hope they're all doing well

PissOffPeppa · 01/01/2019 20:18

The candle/ chocolate one was really disappointing in the end. The gift giver had wrapped up the wrong present (despite the poster’s insistence that her friend had never had a box of chocolates in her home Hmm)

wombatron · 01/01/2019 20:18

I know what happened as it was pulled for privacy, but I'd love to know if the poster with the new neighbours arguing over entry/boundaries ever rectified the situation - I think there was something about contractors and big gates etc.

There was also the poster who had strange happenings in her house - money going missing from under the tv, hearing the front door closing when she was in the shower etc (her car was not on the drive so someone didn't know she was home). She was going to set up a stealth camera and never came back.

Fiveletters · 01/01/2019 20:18

Classics is in “mumsnet stuff”

The candle/chocolates was resolved but boring (aka I can’t remember)

I’d forgotten all about the riddle one. It got silly in the end with people claiming to know but not being able to tell and that being the point of the riddle.

PissOffPeppa · 01/01/2019 20:22

What about the one where a baking ingredient kept going missing? It was something like sugar or flour. There were teenage boys in the house, I think. Did anyone ever get to the bottom of that?

colbyandmontysmum · 01/01/2019 20:25

What about Coats Protection League where the Op was getting all sorts ready to leave her H?

dashitauntagatha · 01/01/2019 20:30

How do people know for sure the trolls are trolls? Not disputing but just wondering... Is it because Mumsnet HQ confirm as much? Or simply because the thread is pulled...

PeapodBurgundy · 01/01/2019 20:30

Was there ever an outcome to the OP who had a washing machine in a lean to at the back of her house that somebody was using overnight? I seem to remember there being talk of it being the landlord who lived on the same property. There was talk of traps being set and returning later in the week to report. Either she didn't or I missed it. Either a possibility.

Bringbackthestrioes · 01/01/2019 20:33

Peppa that is really disappointing but thanks.

WereAllBladesArentWe · 01/01/2019 20:33

Last Christmas a lady in a rural setting was being harassed by neighbours who were mad she didn't sell her house to locals... so we're hounding her in an attempt to make her house sale fall through (or something like that) Anyone know how that worked out??

WereAllBladesArentWe · 01/01/2019 20:34

Baubles were appearing in her garden and on her car and dead animals in her porch and the like.....

What happened to the 'Fucking bitches' one from a few days ago? Bit disappointed if it turns out to have been a troll, but glad that no one actually said what was said in real life.

peridito · 01/01/2019 20:50

Rebulah that one's back .I'll link in a minute .

What happened to the one where the OP 's husband ruined their DD's birthday tea .Little girl was about 8 and being seen for anxiety and depression by CAHMS .Her father kept threatening to leave .

The OP packed and went to her Nana's mid thread .

Guessing she asked for it to be deleted ?
