I'm sitting reading a book in the front room watching the neighbour close just 1 of his double gates after driving off his drive. When he comes in layer he'll then have to stop the car, get out, open gate etc. He can be out anything from 5 minutes to all day but does this every time.

Other neighbour leaves his bins at the front of the house rather than putting them down the side of the house. Same neighbour has 4 people who drive living in the house, yet mum always comes and goes in taxis, sometimes with her grandkids, shopping etc. when they are home.

My mum drives her car right up to her back gate then has to walk around the car to go through gate. She then moans that she gets wet doing this when it's raining, but then won't leave a gap at the front of the car!

None of these things affect me so whyyyyyyyyy do they annoy me so much.

I should get a life

People who spend no time at all trying to find answers themselves to really basic questions. You could have googled it in the time it took too write the post

CruCru · 04/01/2019 22:16

Great post MitziK.

foxtiger · 04/01/2019 22:28

how do you hold the knitting from below if knitting something big?

I've never really thought about it, but I think (I'm not knitting anything at the moment) that my thumbs are up against the body of the knitting, and then I just sort of slide my hand along to put the wool round the needle. But I've never knitted anything wider than a jumper for a thinnish teenager.

Damian Lewis and his tiny mouth.

People who leave the tailor’s stitch in the split in their skirt or coat... surely they know it’s not supposed to be there especially a white stitch on dark fabric.... but no idea why it bothers me as much as it does*

This irritates the HELL out of me! I haven't yet tapped anyone on the shoulder and asked them if they realise... But the day will surely come

RoboticSealpup · 05/01/2019 10:23

@MitziK

🤣😅😂 I'm going to try not to regurgitate that whole post today when I see my friend who thinks I could stop taking my medication for RA I went gluten free. She also thinks sugar is satan but smokes tobacco and thinks cannabis can cure every single ailment.

Icantbelieveitsnotnutter · 05/01/2019 13:29

People who are photographed with their mouths open, feigning surprise. They look like jerks. Shut your mouths people, it's not a hilarious look!Grin God it's irritating.

Satsumaeater · 05/01/2019 13:39

People who always go out with wet hair (irrational probably, but I hate it for some reason)

I do this. Too lazy to use a hair dryer. Sorry :)

dontneedthedrama · 05/01/2019 15:34

Just had a Facebook friend will call her Susan . Susan has just felt the need to post about certain person has let her down . Then a load of comments about how she is the strongest person they know etc . I've no idea what's happened all very cryptic that she felt had to share with all face book friends . It doesn't affect me but definitely gives me the rage, so bloody attention seeking .

dontneedthedrama · 05/01/2019 15:37

Also not sure if it's been mentioned but people who ask on social media like what time does Aldi shut ? Or how often is the bus into town ? Gives me the rage , google it !!!

Icantbelieveitsnotnutter · 05/01/2019 15:57

Car headlights with eyelashes....cringe.
Actually, iris burning led headlights too, just plain dangerous. Why blind fellow drivers? If you have full beam led lights on and fit lashes to them, I'm fantasise about burying you in the woods Grin

Icantbelieveitsnotnutter · 05/01/2019 15:57

I'd, not I'm.

missmouse101 · 05/01/2019 16:14

Teenage schoolgirls who all have exactly the same hairstyle of long straight hanging hair everywhere. How can you feel purposeful and get any work done with that lot? Put it up out of the way fgs.

Belindabauer · 05/01/2019 21:12

I don't h nd eye!ashes but hate those bloody led headlights which go nd everyone else.
I've started flashing cars with them.
Get your headlights adjusted and stop blinding me you twat.

#livingmybestlife

Is that where I’ve been going wrong all these years? When I wake up in the morning and think ‘no- today I will give it a half arsed go- make your own lunches children because mummy has whipped out her Geiger counter and decided to live a half-life’.

Feck off with that.

Also, the push at Christmas to eat eat eat... only to be followed one day later by the shame of ‘you overindulged little piggy, but with this handy newspaper pullout you can reverse all of that, you glutton’.

To reiterate: feck off with that.

Juells · 05/01/2019 22:26

@foxtiger - strangely interested in the 'knitting from below' technique now Grin I've googled 'people knitting' images, and all photos seem to be of people with hands on top. I guess it depends on how one has been taught.

PossiblyPFB · 05/01/2019 23:17

Attention-seeking acquaintances do my head in mainly.

There’s a woman I know who has annoying, quite expressive spermy eyebrows and always posts loads on social media, and the eyebrows always feature heavily. Nothing to do with me but she needs to sort them out as it’s not as cute as she thinks it is.

Another acquaintance cannot spell basic words and hashtags everything misspelt, too- every time I see a post from her on FB or Instagram I immediately look for the inevitable #mistake. She’s not dyslexic, just attention seeking. Incredibly irritating. She also has form for lovey messages to her husband which are best kept for the two of them.

A friend’s DH who regularly posts gushy messages about his wife which are OTT, mainly about her looks - I don’t get why they want to share this with others, what are people supposed to say in response to his posts about how ‘hot’ she is? He also does the same about their young daughter which is just odd and creepy, posting photos of her, inviting people to notice and comment on his young daughter’s appearance. Makes me feel quite uncomfortable and annoyed when I see these..... Sad

None of these things have any bearing on my life whatsoever.

MsChookandtheelvesofFahFah · 05/01/2019 23:32

People who say 'toms' and 'pots' instead of tomatoes and potatoes. I presume they have an irrational fear of the 'oe' sound.

People who keep tapping their Fitbit. No problem with fingers as I can't hear it but nails tapping on a Fitbit drives me insane.

MsChookandtheelvesofFahFah · 05/01/2019 23:34

Actually I should read the title, those things DO have an effect on me because it makes me want to kill

NotToday1601 · 05/01/2019 23:56

People who go outdoors in the cold weather with a jumper, gloves and scarf... but no coat. I don't know why but it drives me mad.

Men wearing baggy 3/4 length trousers... most men don't have ankles worth showing off, so what's the point?

Chocolate1984 · 06/01/2019 00:04

When I read home magazines every house has a kitchen-diner & snug.

ShortandSweet96 · 06/01/2019 00:07

It really makes my shut itch watching my OH out the food shopping away. Although I appreciate the help I end up rearranging everything anyway. He'll put cans on the shelf that the biscuits and chocolate are on. No regard for organisation at all!

luley44 · 06/01/2019 00:12

I am really edgy if someone on the radio - anyone - who is speaking/announcing, whatever, who has a 'frog in the throat' and won't bloody cough it up and insists on talking through a bubble of rattling pleghm - Just FFS cough it up!!!! Skin crawl.

treaclesoda · 06/01/2019 00:15

There was a woman I heard on the radio the other day being interviewed and she kept swallowing loudly whilst speaking. Sort of swallowing her words. It was agony to listen to.

NotToday1601 · 06/01/2019 00:15

Oh I forgot
People who say pacifically instead of specifically and people who say generally when they mean genuinely.
