Posting for traffic because I've been awake all night and I'm a bit bored...

Those of you with dogs

Where do they sleep??

Ours was crate trained and slept for 2 years fine but recently started fussing so we didn't feel he needed it and let him sleep upstairs but he doesn't go in his bed but will get on ours! It's fine except he pinches the quilt and except last night where he's kept me up all night!

Just interested where everyone else's dogs sleep Grin

On the sofa :) he has free roam of all of downstairs

confusedandemployed · 31/12/2018 06:50

On my bed! He hasn't always, but I'm single now and he's ancient and I love his warm little body next to me.

SweetLathyrus · 31/12/2018 06:59

In his crate. And if we don't go to bed when he wants, he goes and opens the door and puts himself in. It's his safe space.

MissElaineNeus · 31/12/2018 07:00

In a basket in our room. He's too big to share with!

LittleLongDog · 31/12/2018 07:01

In his bed in the kitchen.

Same with my dog. In crate in the kitchen.

polkadotpixie · 31/12/2018 07:14

He sleeps in our bed under the duvet usually. He drives me nuts when he sleeps on top of it because he hogs the quilt

He did used to have a crate, then a dog bed but I quite like him in with us really, he's all warm and snuggly (not so much fun in the summer though, especially this year when I was heavily pregnant!)

Justwaitingforaline · 31/12/2018 07:26

On our bedroom floor. If I’m away from home ( which happens maybe once a year), DH will have him on the bed with us.

We started off with a crate but caved early on when he was a pupGrin he’s very happy upstairs with us, although he also has free reign of downstairs should he want it!

In his crate in the kitchen which is never locked and he goes into himself. He has a bed too but that's out of favour at the moment.

Hazlenutpie · 31/12/2018 07:29

In the kitchen in her basket, which she loves.

Katiecausesmischief · 31/12/2018 07:32

We made them their own room under the stairs which they sleep in, complete with a couple of duvets. They are snuggled up in there & have been know to stay in there in the morning - although they often just move to either the sofa or one of their multiple beds to continue their nap.

BiteyShark · 31/12/2018 07:36

For the first year mine was in his crate in the kitchen. Now he sleeps in his bed on the floor in our bedroom.

He did try and get on the bed a few times but we just put him back on the floor and he now knows he cannot sleep on that bed. We allow him on the spare bed and he knows the difference between that and ours.

RedHelenB · 31/12/2018 07:40

In his dog basket in the kitchen.

adaline · 31/12/2018 07:42

In the bed or on the floor in our bedroom.

crazyhouse123 · 31/12/2018 08:03

First of all Justwaitingforaline I want your dog how gorgeous! Smile

Our dog has a bed by our bed and also under our bed, where he sleeps most of the night. He will jump up with us next to me sometimes but on the whole he prefers his own space!

We did have good intentions and his bed was downstairs but gradually worked his way into us!

TicketyBoo83 · 31/12/2018 08:06

In bed next to me, head on pillow. He thinks he’s human!

Mine have a bed in the utility room. They usually sleep on the landing or hall during the day so they can see who is coming and going.

LaLoba · 31/12/2018 08:15

My two sleep in the kitchen next to the radiator. They love their beds, can’t get them up in the morning.

But my dear departed old terrier slept in my bed at the end of his life. He was an abandoned oldie when he came to us, had an accident every night in the kitchen. When we had the kitchen put in we had him in the bedroom and the accidents stopped. We realised it was anxiety at being apart from us, not incontinence, so took him to bed with us after that - no more accidents. I miss him burrowing down to my feet still.

KC225 · 31/12/2018 08:17

Loving the dog photos

Harrykanesrightsock · 31/12/2018 08:29

In the utility room but our old lab likes the garage in the summer, he has a den in the corner and likes to take himself there away from kids and the heat.

MakeAHouseAHome · 31/12/2018 08:30

On the bed or on the bedroom floor depending on his mood.

TeeBee · 31/12/2018 08:35

In his bed in the kitchen.

purplerainbows · 31/12/2018 08:35

I couldn't sleep with mine in the bed, she farts too much and snores louder than my husband 🤦‍♀️ She sleeps downstairs in various places like the sofa, dog bed, carpet etc depending on what mood she is in.

SoyDora · 31/12/2018 08:41

In his bed, in the kitchen.

madvixen · 31/12/2018 08:42

In the bedroom with us. They have beds on the floor but Bertie much prefers the human bed.
