There's an awful screaming sound in my garden, it's obviously not people but it's horrendous, what animals scream? It's keeping me awake!

Cats having sex, it’s an awful sound :(

BreakfastAtSquiffanys · 28/12/2018 01:04

Foxes.
Bloodcurdling noise!

Whyarealltheusernamestaken · 28/12/2018 01:04

Foxes and cats, mating sounds are like this

Cheeeeislifenow · 28/12/2018 01:04

It's probably a fox! They sound like someone being stabbed. A male will repeatedly scream over and. Over in short sharp bursts...

Haggisfish · 28/12/2018 01:04

Foxes, rabbits, peacocks, Siamese cats.

Whyarealltheusernamestaken · 28/12/2018 01:05

Be glad, your garden is a sex den for nature :P

brizzledrizzle · 28/12/2018 01:05

I think it's a fox.

OP posts:
Amanduh · 28/12/2018 01:06

Foxes, cats, owls. Horrible!

Cornettoninja · 28/12/2018 01:07

Owls can make a blood chilling noise. Frogs too but it’s he wrong time of year.

Teseri · 28/12/2018 01:07

Cats shagging, I once thought someone was being murdered/kidnapped because of the screaming noise outside, went outside and realise nope just a cats getting it on

GypsyRoseTea · 28/12/2018 01:07

Frogs! But I doubt it’s them now 😂

boatyardblues · 28/12/2018 01:08

Rabbits being killed by a fox scream.

JosephineHass · 28/12/2018 01:08

Cats- I heard in the middle of the night cats "crying" - and it sounded like children's cry, I was really scared.🤭😶

brizzledrizzle · 28/12/2018 01:09

We have loads of noisy frogs as we have two little wildlife ponds in the garden, we are used to their noise in the spring.

OP posts:
alwaysstressed · 28/12/2018 01:11

Its not the time of year for cats to be in season it can't be cats.
Dying rabbits also scream

brizzledrizzle · 28/12/2018 01:26

I doubt it rabbits, we don't get them, just hedgehogs and maybe foxes. Do foxes leave really foul smelling faeces?

OP posts:
hmmhohmmm · 28/12/2018 01:27

It's a werewolf or a gruffalo

DimplesToadfoot · 28/12/2018 01:28

Hedgehogs bonking, it sounds like a herd of cats are being strangled

WTFIsAGleepglorp · 28/12/2018 01:28

Yes to fox faeces.

It's as sticky as PrittStick and fucking reeks....

Evidencebased · 28/12/2018 01:29

Fox lol = a s ell like you would not believe.

Although, I've never smelt it in the open air. Only when Lab has rolled in it

Pieceofpurplesky · 28/12/2018 01:30

Yes OP really stinky dark poop. Ugh when dogs roll in it it takes ages to wash off

brizzledrizzle · 28/12/2018 01:33

I'd love a gruffalo in the garden.
Something leaves foul smelling faeces on the lawn, I can smell it when I open the window.

Sparklesocks · 28/12/2018 01:37

Foxes are usually the culprit. We heard a blood curling scream last night (sounded like a woman, scary!) and saw one running down the garden when we looked outside. This morning there were feathers out there, they’re very loud!

Marshmallow91 · 28/12/2018 01:50

All animals "scream".

If it's in your garden, chances are it's a fox. They make horrendous noises while "talking"

popcornwizard · 28/12/2018 01:54

The worst scream I've heard was from an injured baby deer - it even freaked out the old pony who never flaps at anything. The dog went berserk.
