I don't need anything but as usual there are things I asked for for Christmas that I didn't get. So I'm wondering whether to indulge myself...

I e just bought a Ralph Lauren dress in the eBay sales/unwanted gifts.

flumposie · 28/12/2018 13:01

First ever electric tooth brush. A yoga mat and kettle bells ( put a lot of weight on over Christmas Blush. Big shopping trip with my daughter planned for tomorrow

SackOfSprouts · 28/12/2018 13:03

Perfume.

I loathe sales shopping, but I always buy myself a couple of perfumes after Christmas.

Oldraver · 28/12/2018 13:04

I've just taken delivery of a lovely bright green coat (it's been knicknamed my kermit coat) . I fell in love with it before Christmas but no way would of paid full price.

A couple of tops for DS

Oldraver · 28/12/2018 13:06

I kindly bought myself some perfume yesterday with a poor excuse of it being for my birthday at the end of January. I smell beautiful today...

HolgerLowCarbingLoser · 28/12/2018 13:27

Oh I like that green coat!

0lgaDaPolga · 28/12/2018 13:35

A couple of stretchy tunic tops, warm cardigans and some new pyjamas. I just had a baby and most of my old clothes don’t fit or don’t look good on me at the moment so bought a few new things to wear and feel more comfortable in.

Spongeface · 28/12/2018 13:39

I love this thread! Currently stuck on a train and have a hankering for new PJ's.. proper ones. Will look in town when I get off

Verbena87 · 28/12/2018 13:44

@bsc I’m a big cup/small back size too and have recently ordered from belle lingerie. They were really reasonable in the outlet section of the website.

Verbena87 · 28/12/2018 13:45

I’m after nice knitting yarn and merino knickers to go under my running leggings (so the opposite of veganuary going on here! Blush)

DonDrapersOldFashioned · 28/12/2018 13:46

Pants, socks, bras for me & DD
Hermes rhubarb set
Shirt for me
Washbag for DS
A couple of nice, heavy roasting trays

Gifts for my DMs upcoming birthday,

2x cardigans
A jumper
2 jigsaws
A posh mug

bsc · 28/12/2018 13:55

verbena thank you, that's really helpful!

John Lewis always have the best yarn sales after Christmas, but you need to go in person to feel them Grin sorry for being an enabler- my stash is too big, I've curbed my yarn purchases for a long time.

bsc · 28/12/2018 13:56

dondrapers does Hermes rhubarb have a scent of rhubarb, or is it just because the bottle is red?

Verbena87 · 28/12/2018 13:59

@bsc thanks (kind of!!) re John Lewis. I’m sort of holding out though and thinking I’m just going to spend on Shetland 2-ply even if it’s not reduced anywhere: I’ve got my eye on a totally too-ambitious fairisle jumper. If you see Jamiesons spindrift reduced anywhere I’m in the market Wink

Drogonssmile · 28/12/2018 14:07

I got a lovely Radley handbag. I think they're a bit frowned upon by Mnetters from what I've seen but l love the quality of the leather and it was half price so I'm happy.

Oysterbabe · 28/12/2018 14:15

I bought some Uggs, half price from Office. They're cute little ankle boots, not the big welly-style ones.

TheWiseWomansFear · 28/12/2018 15:27

Some gold earrings, some blue jeans and a jumper

DSHathawayGivesMeFannyGallops · 28/12/2018 15:30

New handbag from Barbour for work because mine could do with an update & keeping an eye out for smart black flat shoes from Russell & Bromley because my current pair have been walked to death.

AnnaNimmity · 28/12/2018 15:42

Some workout clothes from sweaty betty /Lululemon. Some cashmere (I like to help the moths out in my house) and a pair of manolo blahniks.

I do need some running shoes too.

Otherwise I'm hitting Ikea.... and maybe getting a sofa for the house.

DonDrapersOldFashioned · 28/12/2018 16:19

Bsc, it does smell of rhubarb. It’s quite unisex. Fruity but not in a sickly way.

TeaAndBisquits · 28/12/2018 16:26

I've picked up a few things in the sale..

A make up set from Bare minerals
A skincare set from Clarins
A new purse and handbag
Some wireless earbuds
And some body oil.

Pretty pleased with them all, I just need to stop looking now!!

drspouse · 28/12/2018 16:55

Added some mittens HOORAY from JL and two bras (Fantasie, another big cup small back owner here).
The mittens I got from eBay didn't begin to fit DS so we'll see.

I've just bought two tops in the Whistles sale.

Also ordered a cashmere scarf but it wasn't on offer.

Bought quite a few clothes for DS in the Frugi and Boden sale.

Oh and a Joules dressing gown that was reduced to £15.

I really want some Dubarry loafers but can't really find any at the mo. It's my birthday in a few weeks so might just wait and see.

WeShouldBeFriends · 28/12/2018 17:43

I've ordered some jeans in the Plumo sale and some knitwear for the kids in the JL sale. Went shopping yesterday and got a cashmere cardi in Uniqlo for £59 down from £79, a silk shirt from Reiss £60 and some black suede boots from White Company £64. Very happy with my haul. Dd also hit New Look with her vouchers and got a new coat for £12!
