I don't need anything but as usual there are things I asked for for Christmas that I didn't get. So I'm wondering whether to indulge myself...

I’ve only brought three dresses for work. Started a new job in October and have been stuck with the dress code as too smart in my old workwear but too dressed down in my more causal wear. So have kept an eye out and luckily the three dresses I wanted have gone into thE sale at Hobbs.

Timeandtideandbutteredeggs · 27/12/2018 11:41

A fake fur coat, half price.

HollySwift · 27/12/2018 11:43

We’ve bought ourselves some really needed new saucepans and frying pan. Also got the kids some new uniform and DS1 has grown out of his shoes again. He’s 11 and has bigger feet than me already! Confused

Also picking up a Nintendo switch today but that’s a family Fund award.

Don’t need anything else, we’re very fortunate.

TheTurnOfTheScrew · 27/12/2018 11:47

Acrasia same here. I held back from the Kindle Book sales in December, assuming I'd get several paperbacks and possibly even an Amazon voucher as well. I got ONE book.

I am also on the lookout for a soda stream and some cotton pyjamas.

Neverunderfed · 27/12/2018 11:48

I need a new electric toothbrush 🤷

Eliza9917 · 27/12/2018 12:46

Thinking of looking for an air fryer. I haven't researched them yet as only thought of this yesterday.

Oysterbabe · 27/12/2018 12:57

PIL gave me £200 and I want to find something to buy rather than gradually fritter it away on coffee and lunches. I need some clothes but don't want to buy any until I've lost a bit more baby weight. Maybe I'll just put it towards liposuction.

RickOShay · 27/12/2018 12:58

drspouse it’s Pure Collection. They still have lots of sizes and styles.

Oysterbabe · 27/12/2018 12:59

Actually I would like some boots. Maybe I'll buy boots.

RickOShay · 27/12/2018 13:02

Just seen your post mother. I bought the relaxed fit v neck in soft charcoal and some lounge socks in heather dove.
I have been studying the catalogue for months though Grin

shoesarefab · 27/12/2018 13:04

Flights to Maldives at Easter when the Emirates sale starts.

Nodancingshoes · 27/12/2018 13:06

Just bought a coat in River Island - £45 down from £90

Chocolateheaven123 · 27/12/2018 13:14

Ive bought a maternity top for work as I refuse to buy a bigger one of their uniform tops as I no intention of returning after maternity leave!!

Also bought some storage boxes for DS's toys, a new swim suit for his birthday in Feb, and new curtains/cushions for our lounge (exact ones we wanted and need as it's recently been done out)

sulflower · 27/12/2018 13:23

I just found exactly what I'm looking for but it's 519 quid 😱. Suffice to say I'm not buying it!

krustykittens · 27/12/2018 13:28

I bought myself a beautiful pendant I had been admiring in Swarovski, 50 per cent off! I feel a bit guilty as DH spent a fortune on a fantastic present for me a few weeks before Christmas, something I really needed, and I don't need this. Still going to wear it though!

RaiderOfTheKitchenCupboard · 27/12/2018 13:29

I ordered some cds from hmv last night. I was a bit drunk at the time, so it’s an eclectic mix... Fortunately I stopped there and didn’t decide to browse foreign holidays or anything.

EmUntitled · 27/12/2018 13:33

I've lost a bit of weight this Autumn/Winter and been waiting for the sales to get myself some clothes which fit, so I have jist bought loads in the Fat Face sale. I would also like to get some frugi stuff for DD (but for me really!) But I'm waiting for further reductions.

RickOShay · 27/12/2018 13:34

Definitely get boots Oysterbabe.

daisychain01 · 27/12/2018 13:35

Swapped a cardigan from White stuff today for a grey/aubergine jersey tunic which caught my eye - half price at £24 so I got £3 back on my card. Yay!

bsc · 27/12/2018 13:40

racecardriver where are you getting bras? I'm 30e and it's hard to find on the high street. I like Fantasie mostly, and they usually have 30e, just £40 a pop....

HolgerLowCarbingLoser · 27/12/2018 13:41

I have got three shirts from Barbour. A longchamp Le Pliage Neo (that one may go back as I haven’t seen it in the flesh and it has to be just right or it’s not worth keeping). A cashmere cardigan from Joules which may go back if it’s not quite right over a shirt, and a dress from them as well. Three dresses from Warehouse, but I’m only going to keep one. A Bobbi Brown smokey eyes set.

I’m at my spending limit now so that’s it for me!

Dontsweatthelittlestuff · 27/12/2018 13:44

Not going to spend any of my money as I have an expensive vets bill to pay in the new year but I did get gifted some cash from my mum this Christmas and am going to treat myself to some new underwear. Nothing fancy just a couple of new supportive bras and a couple of multi packs of cotton pants.

WhoTookTheChristmasCookie · 27/12/2018 13:47

I've made a start on DDs Christmas and Birthday presents for next year Xmas Grin

Treating myself to some new perfume, a cashmere lounge set, socks, new shoes, some clothes, a new coat, a Hoover (thrilled to bits), toiletries, makeup and nail bits (I do my own acrylics and gels at home.)
There will be more Grin

Very indulgent but I didn't get any Christmas presents this year apart from a Baylis and Harding bubble bath set - which will end up re-gifted, cannot stand the stuff.

bsc · 27/12/2018 13:52

I also need bottoms for DD. Does any where sell cotton joggers with just cotton? Women's 6 or age 15?

yawning801 · 27/12/2018 14:02

I spent 20 quid on chocolate in the Hotel Chocolat members-only sale Blush

Now browsing H&M but I prefer their summer selection, got some really nice tops in there last year so I might wait if I can
